Best Counter Service at MGM?

We'll be at MGM for a couple of lunch hours through our stay. . . what are your favourites? We're on the dining plan so any recommendations for our orders (DH, Myself, DS8 and DS4)

We really enjoy the Backlot Express. They have this grilled turkey and cheese sandwich with red peppers served on a panini-type bread that we think is outstanding. I have also heard that the Sesame Chicken Salad is good. We stop there every time we go to MGM. Other than that though, MGM is lacking in the counter-service area (and the resturant area, IMHO). But try the Backlot. The theming is fun too!

I second Backlot. Toy Story Pizza Planet may seem appealing because of the themeing and the arcade games, but if you are a pizza junkie, you probably won't like the pizza here. Very bland. Just my opinion of course, but just wanted you to be forewarned that the food is not that great there.

ABC Comissary is a good counter service. I DO NOT recommend Pizza Planet. Yuck!!

ABC commissary has a pretty good cuban sandwich and a pre packaged chocolate mousse for the dessert that is also very tasty

I would have to say Backlot Express as well....we normally don't eat CS at MGM as we haven't found anything good in the past, however this year we tried BE and it was really pretty good.

The pizza at Pizza Planet is not that good. My kids wanted it, so being kids who love Toy Story we did it. Hopefully, they're over that. Maybe next time we'll try the Backlot Express. Thanks!

Got to try BE this past June -- it's always been closed when we were there -- and I have to say that out of all the CS in MGM this one is probably the best (but then again, to us the CS choices in MGM are )

I have to agree with Backlot Express and the turkey/red pepper sandwich. The multi-grain bread it's grilled on is also very good. We like the cheeseburgers there, also...
