I know, I know -- it's all pretty awful. What have you found to be the "best" (using the term loosely) - we'll be there on New Year's Day and will need a quick meal at some point. And we had terrible luck on our last trip.

Tough question....for some reason, DHS really lacks on the CS restaurants. However, with that said, my 2 DDs always wants to eat at Pizza Planet (more for the atmosphere rather than for the food). Not the best meal, but it is not the worst. One day during our December trip, we thought we would try out ABC Commissary....OMG!!!!! Never again!!! Our burgers tasted like cardboard, neither one of us could eat the whole thing. If you are willing to eat out of the park, I would suggest taking a boat ride over to the Boardwalk area and go to one of their restaurants. Good luck.

hmm - you know what? Pizza Planet may have been our only salvageable meal there last time. Pizza wasn't awful, you're right. (And that's the 3rd thing I've heard about ABC Commissary so we'll def. stay away from that.) :)

The Toluca Turkey Leg cart has a great salad! Also my family and I find Pizza Planet OK.

Starring Rolls! Delicious sandwiches and cupcakes, and a nice change from the typical CS chicken nuggets, burgers, and pizza!

Studio Catering. The menu is limited so we don't eat there too often. The backup CS is Backlot Express.

We usually go to the Commissary or Backlot Express. Never had a problem at either place.

We always go to Pizza Planet in DHS. It's always been good.

We always enjoy Toluca Lake turkey legs! They are like a meal all by their selves we also enjoy the back lot express.

:banana::banana:

Backlot Express is tolerable, albeit basic. The counter service options at Disney's Hollywood Studios are a complete and utter joke -- a poor excuse for even fast food.

I like the boat idea :rotfl2: bus, plane or train your way out of there!

Big breakfast on our HS day, then we snack our way thru - turkey legs, fruit, veggie sticks, pretzels, popcorn, ice cream. If no F! then we leave for dinner at the end of the day. I'm going to have to look into those cupcakes!

I noticed Fairfax has a new menu that looks decent.

Sunset Market is an outdoor eating area, set up like a Market ....right between RnR and ToT.

It has several options for CS ....all right next to one another.

Including:
K) Fairfax Fries
L) Rosie's All American Cafe: Chicken Nuggets, Burgers, Veggie Burgers
M) Catalina Eddies: Pizza, Caesar Salad, Deli Sandwiches
N) Toluca Legs Turkey Co: Turkey Legs, Hot Dogs, Salads.

Our Family of Five (mostly picky) were able to split up here to order...and meet up at a picnic table...and everyone found something they liked. :goodvibes

I got the Italian Sub...from Catalina Eddies..and it was DELICIOUS! I PLAN to go back and get another one in May !

Don't know why it seems no one ever mentions Sunset Market...

Disney Hugs,
Mary
