We may need to cut back on Dining expenses. Just put out 600 in car repairs:eek:   So we need counter restaraunts that are easy to get food in and that have relatively relaxed atmosphere. Any ideas?

A couple that have TS type food at CS prices:

Wolfgang Puck Express (Cafe?)--the one in Marketplace at DTD

Flame Tree BBQ @ AK

Beaches & Cream-BC, and The Plaza Restaurant-MK are both TS that cost much less than most TS (and are generally considered a bad use of TS credits on the DDP because they are so much less money)

I like the Flame Tree best of all. Definately hit the Earl of Sandwich at the Marketplace. I enjoy Cosmic Rays for Sonny Eclipse and the dogs are good. Pizzafari was suprisingly decent at DAK. At Epcot, the Cantina in Mexico and the food Court in the Land (downstairs) are good choices.

If you do do TS, go at lunch when prices are lower. Chefs de France is a good option for lunch, for example. Check allearsnet.com for the lunch menus.

In Epcot, we like the Lotus Blossom Cafe in China and the bakery in Norway. Neither are your cheapest eats, but the cafe has large portions that could easily be shared. And the bakery in France is wonderful.

In the MK, we like the Columbia Harbor House.

In MGM, Starring Rolls is good, although the menu is limited. Good for a snack.

Our favorites are:

DTD-Wolfgang Puck Express-TS quality restaurant
AK-Flame Tree BBQ
MK-Columbia Harbor House or Cosmic Rays (the chicken/ribs combo plate is enough for me and my two kids to share)
Epcot-Cantina de San Angel (Mexico Pavillion), Sunshine Seasons (The Land Pavillion), or Yakitori (Japan)-Many CS choices at Epcot
DHS-?????-we never eat here for some reason

What ever you chose, have a great time.

Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe.
Epcot: Electric Umbrella.
Hollywood Studios: ABC Commissary.
Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree Barbecue & Pizzafari.
Downtown Disney Marketplace: Earl of Sandwich.

I love Columbia Harbour house at the MK, Sunshine Seasons in Epcot, Earl of Sanwich in DTD and Flame Tree.
Like someone else said. You may also want to consider Plaza in the MK and Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club. They are both TS, but are fairly inexpensive compared to other TS.

Columbia Harbour House at MK
Tangierine Cafe at Epcot
Wolfgang Puck Express at Downtown Disney
Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney

Best CS is at Wolfgang Puck Express in DtD Marketplace. TS quality food, they serve you once you place your order, will refill your drinks and clean your table. They just remodeled and there is nice seating indoors and out. The prices are great and the pasta dishes come with salad and bread. Really great food!

At MK I'll also throw a vote to Cosmic Ray's ... generally they have ample seating, the menu is pretty varied and has some solid "lighter" options as well as the usual burger kind of stuff. You can eat dinner there and not feel like you ate yet another fast food meal.

Ditto Flame Tree in AK.
