We are staying at Pop Century anyone know of a good supermarket close?

Thanks

Are you driving or flying/do you have use of a car?
What and how much are you looking to buy?

Time = money, especially at Disney. Most everything you could want is available at the food court. If you have the time and want to take a bus over to DTD and walk across the street to the Hess station to stock up on sodas, water, and snacks. But remember you'll have to carry them. Or there are several places just outside the DTD area if you have a car. Goodings is a high priced grocery store - but convenient. There is also a CVS or Walgreens and probably more than a few Publix to choose from. All the info on locations can be found using a store locater function on their websites. ;)

I assume you have a car.

Take 192 towards Kissimmee. Once you go under an underpass or two there is a Publix on the left. The sign is small and low to the ground and the shopping center does not face 192, it faces the road that intersects 192.

The drive to and from WDW is no big deal.

All Ears has a great list of area grocery stores:

We'll be coming from the airport (in a rental car), and plan to stop at the Wal-Mart that's on Osceola Parkway. That might be good for you guys, since Osceola Pkwy is a straight shot to Pop Century.

We were thinking of going to the hess to get a case of water and a case of soda. How far is the walk back to dtd to the bus? Do people generally do this or will we get a lot of crazy stares? If it's a really long walk then I don't know about hiking it!

The 'pleasure island' bus stop is pretty much right across the street from the Hess station. Although be warned you will be crossing a 6 lane highway to get to it. That being said, it's not always crazy busy with traffic. Bing Map (they have a cool 'birds eye' feature) Planet Hollywood - you'll see it. Personally I would bring a small suit case or duffel bag (with wheels) to carry the stuff in. From the bus stop to hess shouldn't take more than a 5 minute walk, not including waiting for the light to cycle. My guess for round trip time from POP would be about an hour, but again most of that actual time will be waiting - either for a bus or light to change.

No crazy stares. Tons of people do it. ;)

I think this is the same Publix you are talking about. If go left out of Pop century then take another left at the lights - Sports complex is directly ahead [this is my land mark for getting to Pop! lol]- and go about 2 miles. The Gaylord Palms will be on your right and you will take a right at the light. I believe it is International Drive West. Publix will be on the left. there is two entrances. there is also a Walgreen on the right. PS - there is a Dunkin Donuts across the parking lot. This strip mall faces route 192 and also has a Harley Davidson store there.
