Best Christmas Decoration Resort

We are planning a long weekend the first or second weekend in December to enjoy the Christmas Decorations. Does anyone have any suggestions of the best place to stay? We are staying at WL for our Sept. - Oct. trip. I would like either deluxe or moderate, my DH won't do value resorts .

The Beach Club is my favorite. I love the carousel. We visited all the resorts to check out the decorations. GF is amazing too. Take time to visit the resorts, they are all beautifully decorated.

The Yacht & Beach Clubs are very well done. The Grand Floridian is...well...grand. And Wilderness Lodge looks splendid.

If I were you, I'd pick one of the Deluxes based on what I want in a resort in other ways, though.

If you want to see something amazing and are going close to the holidays, go over to Ft Wilderness for dinner at Trails End and rent a golf cart and drive through the campground loops...those RV's were decked out beyond belief....it was hilarious....my kids thought it was the most exciting thing we did the entire trip!! People had put more effort into decorating their campsites than I had in decorating my house!!

I really like the Wilderness Lodge and Grand Floridian.

All of the hotels in the Boardwalk area (Swan, Dolphin, YC, BC, Boardwalk) have very nice holiday decorations. I liked the chocolate pinocchio scene at the Contemporary last year also, and the WL is ALWAYS beautiful.

But my FAVORITE is the GF. The lobby is awesome, and the giant gingerbread house is beautiful. I am SO excited to finally get to stay there this year!!

WL, hands down (but then again, I'm biased!). Seriously, the wilderness theme lending perfectly to a Christmas theme.

Will they still be up for Marathon weekend Jan 11 - 13?

Most of the decorations are gone after around the 4th or 5th of Jan.

Does anyone know when the Christmas Decorations are all up? We are thinking of going maybe the weekend of Thanksgiving, but I'm not sure if the crowds will make me change my mind. I think we are leaning towards GF if I can save up the money for 3 nights.

we're staying at CSR in December and are really looking forward to our stay. we'll be visiting the deluxe resorts (staying at them isn't in our budget!) to check out their decorations, but really can't wait to see and explore CSR. it can't get here soon enough!!

Are the Christmas decorations up after thanksgiving?
