DH is trying to go gluten free for health reasons. Any suggestions? Thanks!

DH has celiac disease, and when I make our ADRs, I mention that. Each time, they have had a chef from each restaurant call us at home, to get the full specifics. Then, once we arrive at the restaurant, the chef comes to our table to meet DH, and reviews the menu with him. If it is a buffet, the chef takes you thru the buffet and points out foods to avoid. They provide gluten free/wheat free breads, pasta, waffles, etc also, if they know in advance that you are coming. Once we stayed in BC concierge, and they sent up special muffins for him and waffles each morning. They did did the same on our Disney Cruise. DH was VERY impressed, needless to say! It's the only place we can go on vacation and he has no problem getting the food he wants....but it does definately take advance planning.

I would suggest going to the disABILITIES Forum and look at Post #3 of the disABILITIES FAQs. There is a large section in that post dealing with special dietary needs, as well as many related links. You can get directly to the disABILITIES FAQs by following the link in my signature.

This is a very common topic of discussion in the disABILITIES Forum.

Thanks all! Very helpful! (I knew the cruise would be no problem, this will be our third, but this is our first visit to WDW.)

My father is celiac and I remember specifically in Germany the Brats are pure meat with no filler, the head Chef came out and verified this. Beacause he was getting his without bread they gave him 2 brats.

He still couldn't Drink the Beer Though, so I had an extra one for him.

Everywhere we went they have options. I also remeber at Pizzafari I saw a Button on the cash register for Gluten free pizza, wish I had inquired about it but I did not.

Every restaurant has these rice based Gluten free rolls as well.

they are very accomidating everywhere

When I posted this I forgot you specified epcot so Pizzafari was a moot point.

Plus remeber most restaurants have a steak on the menu, just make sure any sauces and seasonings are gluten free.
