Best choice near MK?

Don't seem to be any good choices in the park - any suggestions for a great sit down restaurant in the resorts near Magic Kingdom?

It really depends what you're looking for! The Poly, Contemporary and the Grand are FULL of excellent options:

Kona
'Ohana
Narcossee's
Citricos
Grand Floridian Cafe
The Wave
California Grill

Are you looking for a quick sit-down lunch, or a nice romantic dinner, or what?

I've been told that I simple MUST take my daughter and Dh to dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe in Wilderness Lodge (for all the reasons you've mentioned) it's just a tiny little boat trip from MK It's only 1 credit, and a lot of food.

My vote is for Ohana at the Poly. We like the food and atmosphere.

Resort monorail or boat launch.

We've been there several times - always for lunch - and enjoy it very much. Good food; good service; good time walking around the GF. As the PP said, you take the monorail from the MK, hop off at the GF, and then hop back on to return to the MK. Or take the boat (which is probably quicker) Enjoy!

Yes, you can. Because it's a resort hotel and it's Disney, there's no real dress code. People come from the park, eat, and return, so whatever is park attire is permitted. Bathing attire would be inappropriate.
