Best / Cheapest way to buy one day ticket?

A friend of mine is going to CA in 2 weeks and can only spend one day at DL. What would be the cheapest way to get a one day ticket for her?

Disney does not discount tickets like the other theme parks in this area. The only "breaks" I know of on a one day ticket are when they run a Southern California resident special. The current one, two parks for the price of one, ends this month.

I was just thinking that they had an advance purchase discount or something like they do with Disney World tix. I'll pass on the info.
