Best/ cheapest flights and days from nyc?

Ruling to do a low budget trip the first week or two of May. So far I see the lowest is jet blue Monday to Monday about $250 each. Does that sound good?
Trying hard to make no stops and we are flexible on the days, I do not prefer Monday to Monday but trying to keep all costs low. I do love flying jet blue but will take another company. I haven't booked flights in many years so if you have any advice please share

Sounds a little high to me, especially on Jet Blue from NYC, but it is getting into spring break season so maybe not.

Have you checked other airports? Would you be willing to travel to Newark or Long Island for savings?

I'd check SW flights if you haven't done so, too.

Surprisingly southwest was more expensive. Can't travel form further away, as it is the cab to jfk which is 20 from my house costs $55!

That's pretty average maybe a tad high but not crazy...we sometimes luck out and pay closer to $225 but not often. I price out difference airlines but when I add baggage fees to other fares it's pretty close. So we stick with Jetblue since we just like the planes & the service better.

Delta & American fly direct also...did you check them?

ETA: If you can take the air train, it's very easy and not expensive at all. You might also want to consider driving to the airport and using the Parking Stop...sometimes it works out to be less expensive than taking car service. Sign up for their emails or google for coupons.

On JetBlue from Newark, I've found the best fares to be mid week. Last trip, I went Wednesday - Wednesday, and my round trip airfare was $197 before taxes & fees.
