Best/Cheapest day to fly?

What is the cheapest day to fly? Are all airlines the same? What is your favourite day to fly and why?

Travel agencies seem to want us to fly on Sat. late morning to the afternoon. These are probably the cheapest and slowest times, but you lose a whole day to travel, believe me, we've done it. I like to get to MCO before 11:30 pm Fri. Night or first thing on the morning of our first day, 9:40am Sat. is the time we arrived last year. By taking a late flight out of PHL we wake up in WDW and don't have to burn a vacation day on Fri., either. Two years ago we landed at 10:30 pm and were in our PO/Riverside beds before midnight.

Usually fares are cheaper if you fly on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (sometimes depending on the airline) and Saturday. My favorite day to fly is a Tuesday because there seem to be less people flying than, say a Saturday, and when you arrive at WDW there are less people at the car rental counters and at the luggage concourse. This year we're flying Saturday to Saturday so we'll see how it goes.
