Best cheap crockpot recipes?! Please share

We go to Costco and get the pork that is 4 to a pack. Cook for 4-6 hours and make pulled pork with BBQ sauce... What we like better is Cafe Rio Pork (Search for the recipe online. It is sweet pork)

A bit more money but still cheap. 4-6 chicken breast (boneless/ frozen or fresh). One brick of cream cheese and one pack Italian seasoning. 4-5 hours on high. Then pull chicken and serve over rice. Would work with thighs as well...

I do chicken drumsticks and/or thighs with a container of BBQ sauce and some water in the crock pot. Cook on low all day. My kids love it.

I also do a chicken taco recipe with boneless chicken thighs, a can of black beans, some frozen or canned corn, a jar of salsa, and some taco seasoning. Cook all day on low, then shred the chicken. This makes a ton of filling for tacos, burritos, etc.

Package of stew meat, chopped onion, 2 cans cream of golden mushroom soup. Let cook 8 hours on low. Make 1 pound egg noodles and spoon crock pot mix over. Makes 6-8 servings.

These all come out fairly cheap per-serving if you make a full batch and save leftovers:

Turkey breast roast rubbed with olive oil and italian seasoning

3 packet pot roast (ranch mix, italian mix, brown gravy mix)

BBQ sauce with either pork roasts or chicken breasts/thighs

I will get a pork roast and add a can of soda (I have used cola, rootbeer, Dr.Pepper) pretty much anything we have on hand and a bottle of BBQ sauce. Once again whatever we have on hand and it turns out really good. Its my go-to for pitch-ins because its cheap and feeds lots of people and looks like it costs more than it does.

I do this without the taco seasoning - it's awesome. We also serve over rice. For two people it makes two dinners & 1-2 lunches.

A pack of chicken and 1/2 a bottle of buffalo sauce. Shred chicken when done cooking and serve on a bulkie roll (blue cheese dressing optional). Simple and yummy.

Not easy but cheap. I have been making chicken soup in mine. Since we do not like a huge amount of meat in our soup I use the extra meat for sandwitches or another meal.

I have a stew meat recipe similar to PP.

1-2 packs of stew meat - I use 2 because of teenagers!
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 packet of dry brown gravy mix
1 packet dry onion soup mix
1 can of water

I throw the meat in frozen, mix the sauce & pour on top. Put it on low for 8-10 hours. Cook egg noodles or mashed potatoes & spoon meat/sauce on top. It is one of the few meals all of my kids love & request.

Here are the other 2 I make most often -

Chili -

cook hamburger ahead of time-as much or as little as you want
2 cans diced tomatoes
2-4 cans kidney beans
1-2 packets chili seasoning - I usually do a regular & a hot

I like this because I can stretch it with extra beans if I want to. You could also serve over spaghetti noodles or tortilla chips.

Chicken tortilla soup -

I usually cook some boneless, skinless breasts ahead of time in the crock. Drain the liquid & add the other ingredients.
2 cans diced tomatoes
2 cans kidney beans
2 cans black beans
2 cans corn
packet taco seasoning
packet dry ranch dressing seasoning

Some like chick peas or other beans. It's nice because it's so easy to toss in whatever you like. Serve with tortilla chips, sour cream, &/or shredded cheese.

This sounds great I will have to try it.

DH likes smothered pork chops.

boneless pork chops
sliced onions

cream of mushroom soup

served with rice or egg noodles

unfortunately beef has become so expensive I find myself buying more chicken or pork.

One beef recipe we often make is Italian Beef

1 chuck roast
1 or 2 onions sliced

1 packet Au jus gravy
Beef broth

after cooking shread the beef and eat on rolls.

For a second meal add onions and gravy to the meat and searve over egg noodles

Fill half the can with red wine or sherry -- makes the gravy super rich!
