Best Character Meals for Adults?

I would do 1900 Park Fare, the stepsisters are hilarious! Also if you try and banter back with them you will get burnt as my partner found out.

We also did breakfast there as well as lunch at CRT but didn't think much of the food. I've done Tusker House and the food was good but the atmosphere was meh.

A million years ago, I did Garden Grill dinner with mainly adults (the dinner was different back then though, all I remember is eating catfish).

We did breakfast last year, my husband and my in laws thought it was one of the best meals of the trip.

Seriously if we ever stayed in an epcot resort, my husband would probably want to eat there most mornings (we always get hoppers)

I’m not really a character person, but I really enjoyed Tusker House breakfast. My server was fantastic and gave me a lot of attention even though I was solo. He kept coming by with updates on which characters were coming and what route they were taking through the restaurant. He made sure that I didn’t feel left out.

I have the Bon Voyage breakfast booked for my May trip, but may end up canceling. I’m not sure how I feel about meeting face characters. Seems kinda uncomfortable?

We do breakfast at Tusker House on every trip- kids or no kids. I don't like lunch or dinner there but breakfast is one of our favs. The characters are always awesome- they take their time, it's never rushed, and we like the atmosphere.

I agree dinner at 1900 PF is lots of fun- the sisters and Lady T are the best character interactions we've ever had. We haven't tried it on an adults only trip though I'm sure they'd interact just as much.

Thank you all for the replies! Y’all have been very helpful. The more and more I read about 1900 PF, the more I want to give it a try!

Tusker House seems like a popular choice, but again, we’re doing Boma so maybe there would be a lot of “overlap” there in terms of food and atmosphere?

Garden Grill seems like a popular choice as well, but I think my family would prefer a buffet over a family style type meal.

How does the breakfast selection at Cape May compare to others? Anything “unique” or special there? The characters seem to be the main draw for us, and we’re thinking of doing the character breakfast on Epcot day, so location is a plus.

We are 3 adults, went to Crystal Palace for breakfast a couple of weeks ago and had a great time! The setting is lovely (all those windows overlooking MK), buffet was excellent and we loved the Pooh characters.

1900 Park Fare for breakfast is great. More "adult" characters with Alice, Mary and Mad Hatter, who is usually very funny. Then of coarse Tigger and Pooh. I havent been for dinner, so can speak for that.

Tusker House is great. Nice food options with classic characters in their Safari outfits, same for Cape May and the Beach outfits. I also like Crystal Palace, but Ive only been there for breakfast too.

I did not like anything about Garden Grill other than Chip and Dale, same goes for Ohana. Loved Lilo and Stitch but didnt love the food (except Stitch waffles!). Akershus ick... same for CRT. Both were once and done for me. Going to Trattoria al Forno for the first time in August. And now thinking about it, Hollywood and Vine breakfast was good, but the characters are super childish...but really fun to watch all the kids dance with Jake! So cute!

I am hoping to try 1900 Park Fare dinner on our next trip 8-)......when it comes to making a character breakfast choice, I agree with many PPs that the character interaction at GG is great. Our preference in terms of atmosphere and food, however, is CP. The windows, the greenery, the puffed french toast!

We have done TH for dinner and enjoyed the characters, but the food and atmosphere weren't anyone's favorite. No one has requested giving breakfast a try next trip. We haven't tried the Bon Voyage breakfast ..though I am a Tangled fan!

They have the usual breakfast items but I remember loving the grits for some reason. Its been a few years since I went but I remember loving it!

I've done a lot of character dining as an adult with no kids, and my picks would be:

Breakfast - Bon Voyage at Trattoria al Forno - Disney's Boardwalk. best food I've ever had at a character breakfast, easily - good interaction with face characters. Plus the Boardwalk area is so lovely in the morning. Characters are Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Ariel, Prince Eric.
Dinner - Storybook Dining at Artist Point - Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Definitely had the most elegant feel of any character dining I've attended, I think this is as close as you'll get to the ambiance you are looking for. Characters are Snow White, Evil Queen, Dopey and Grumpy.

Runners up:
Tusker House (Mickey, Donald, Daisy, Goofy)
Garden Grill (Mickey, Pluto, Chip, Dale)
1900 Park Fare (Alice, Mary Poppins, Mad Hatter, Pooh, Tigger at Breakfast; Cinderella, Prince Charming, Step Sisters at dinner)
(all serve breakfast AND dinner, although I've only done breakfast at these ones)

I did put up a review of my experience at Storybook Dining - hope you'll find it helpful. Went with a friend (2 grown-ups) last Thursday. :)
