We are going Dec. 5-12. We have a DD3 and a DS9. Which character meal do you get the best bang for your buck? What time is the best time to go?

Do you mean bang for the buck money-wise, food-wise, character-wise or all of the above?;) and, are you on the dining plan?

Good Questions My fellow Georgian,my question also is are you going to be paying OOP for some of your meals, in that case you may want to eat breakfast since it is the cheapest and some great character places would be Crystal Palace and the best time is before the parks open,1900 Park Fare,Ohana's Lilo Stich,Tusker house, when I was there Sept4-10th I used my dinning credits for the most expensive places such as dinner and I did use one for the PSB breakfast but my character breakfast were only 18.99 for and adult and I have a 2yr old so he was free so I got off really cheap, saved my credits for LeCelliar,Ohanas.Coral Reef,Biergertan and etc,I found the best time for dinners for me was 8:00pm and on I know that this time may be late for some but it was great for us!

If you are planning a morning off during your stay, you could do a lot worse than the "brunch" seating at one of the resort character breakfasts. Because they generally do not also offer lunch, the restaurant is quite empty as the meal period ends, and the characters often spend a lot more time with each table. Breakfast is the least expensive meal, and that late seating can really take the place of lunch.

Which one you pick really depends on the characters you want to see. But, I happen to prefer the face characters (they can talk, and things get very "interesting") so I'd lean to 1900 Park Faire.

If you are leaning towards brunch, we loved the Cape May Cafe in May at our 10:55 reservation. The place was emptying out of guests and they characters (Minnie, Chip & Dale & I think Goofy or Pluto), came to our tables about 4 to 5 times! Food was good.... character interation was AWESOME!

We had the most fun at 1900 Park Fare. The Mad Hatter and Alice were hilarious and Pooh and Tigger were great too. Plus the food was really yummy. We went at 10am and the crowd was already thinning out.
