We are making plans to go back to Disney the first week of February. We went last year, but my son wasn't that into the characters so we didn't do any character meals. Now he is really into Mickey Mouse - he will be 3 at the time of our trip and is really an active kid, so I want something that either won't take too long or will be entertaining enough to keep his interest.

a Mickey fan, then Chef Mickey is probably the place. He will also get the main group, Donald, Minnie, Pluto and Goofy. (At least they were all there in June.)

My personal favorite is Crystal Palace though. Pooh and the other characters are quite fun and I prefer the food.

Still, it is all about the kids when they are that age.

Chef Mickey's definately if he is into Mickey Mouse. Its fun there and the food is pretty good. My personal fave is Ohana with Stitch for breakfast.

We also love Chef Mickey's. I have a DD 3 who is a big Minnie fan and it was our best breakfast. Love it! I think your son will just enjoy it so much!!:thumbsup2

I agree-Chef Mickeys! :thumbsup2 We have had both Dinner and B-fast there. While we enjoyed both, I must say that B-fast with the "classic" characters is the perfect way to start a day in Disney! :thumbsup2

In addition to Chef Mickey's you might want to consider breakfast or lunch at Hollywood and Vine in MGM. The Playhouse Disney characters from JoJos Circus and Little Einsteins are there. There is singing and dancing ie. he will be entertained and not restricted to his seat. This does not apply to H&V dinner.

When my DS was three, we went to Disneyland, CA. He loved, loved, loved the Lilo and Stitch breakfast. We also did Goofy's Kitchen (which is almost the same as Chef Mickey's) and one with the Pooh characters in the DL park. Hands down, the Lilo and Stitch one was DS's favorite -- especially when Pluto (yes, he was there!) came over and starting "eating" him! I can still hear his giggles . . . Priceless! Great character interaction with Stitch and Lilo, too! Actually, all of the character breakfasts were great, but again, his favorite . . . Lilo and Stitch. Very entertaining for a three year old! :thumbsup2

I second doing the Ohana Best Briends Breakfast w/ Lilo and Stitch. We got more time out of Mickey there than at Chef Mickey's. Our son was 2 when we went and he didn't do too well at Chef Mickey's. It was cramped and way too busy, (and dirty IMHO), besides I liked the food at Ohanas better. They are both great, but Ohanas has better food and isn't quite as crowded. They also have a show/kid interaction thing where the kids can join Lilo, Stitch, Pluto and Mickey on a parade.

Chef Mickey's is number 1 but there is a lot of character time at the Back Yard BBQ and the entertainment is also very good. Check out the menu.
