Even though my kids aren't exactly little which is the best character show for their ages? My son is 12 and daughter is 9 and we are going with another family who also has a 12 and 9 year old as well. I also have a one year old little girl. What are your recommendations for don't miss restaurants?

Thanks,
Misty :cloud9:

We have a 9 year old and he really liked Liberty TRee tavern character dinner. It has Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, CHip and Dale. The character interaction was great! It is served family style with all you can eat salad, bread and honey butter, turkey, ham, flank steak, mashed potatoes, veggies, stuffing and mac n cheese. We thought the food was very good. Dessert was great-warm apple cobbler with ice cream on top.
BTW, we also ate at Chef Mickeys and while the character interaction was great, we thought the food to be quite bland. Our next trip, we are going to do the Chef Mickeys breakfast instead! :)
If you go to www.allearsnet.com, there are pics of restaurants as well as menus

Chef Mickeys or Garden Grill would be my choices. :)

Chef Mickey's has the monorail going overhead and Garden Grill rotates so they both have the "neat" factor as well :)

I have to agree about Chef Mickey! We went for breakfast last year and will be going back for breakfast again in December.
Another fun character meal is at Crystal Palace with Pooh Bear and gang. We weren't sure how we would like going there last year, but we loved it! My kids are 16,12, and 9. We will be spending DD 13th birthday there. That's were she wants to go and we are all looking forward to it.
Have fun!

We're big fans of Garden Grill. We don't even take the characters into account when we plan to go there, as we think it is worth the price even without them. So the characters are just a bonus. I think the food is better at Garden Grill than at Liberty Tree, while the character interaction is better at Liberty Tree. You'd do fine at either.

Our kids will be 11 turning 12(DS) and 16(DD) for our trip and their Character meal choices are: DS Chef Mickey dinner ( for his 12th birthday) DD Crystal Palace Dinner...but mostly cause MGM does not offer a character meal for older kids and her next choice was to be at MK and we have not done CP.
Non character TS choice is ( they each get 1)
DS Sci Fi
DD torn between MM ( for calamari) and Rest. Marrakesh...never tired it either.
They both want Coral Reef, so I am sadly giving up my choice of Le Cellier 9 DH says it's too much like a dungeon, Iisay we've never been...try it)so we can try CR and DH is choosing Chef's De France.
We all are trying to decide between OHana's and Kona
and GF Cafe and Boma.
I think I need to be focusing on "park" restaurants tho, to keep from using up too much time busing over to eat!

My kids are about the same ages, DD8 and DS almost 12. They love Donald's Breakfastasaurus. They also can't wait to go to Ohana's Lilo and Stitch breakfast. We haven't been so I can't comment on how good it is. To me, Donald's is just ok but they enjoy it. They also liked eating in the Castle for CRT lunch. My son liked the food and the eating in "THE" castle (also if you look at his picture with Jasmine his face is as red as Snow White's apple).
