Best character locator for HS, MK, EP and AK?

I used a really great one for our January 2016 trip, but my kids weren't into characters for our 2018 trip, so it has been since 2016 since I used a character locator. What one is the best? Would love to find a free one, but even a paid one, IF it is super accurate and up-to-date would be okay too.

How does this work exactly? Do you get notifications or do you constantly have to check the app?

There are schedules posted for characters meets which includes more than what shows up on MDE as well as times/locations for possible character training. There is also a chat room where people will post surprise character meets. It's not actually an app, it's just a website but it mobile friendly. There is a lot more than just characters as well but that's kind of what made it popular.
