We are going next April with our then 15 month old and almost 3 year old.
I cannot stop making ADR's!!! I have gotten all the dates and times I wanted.
But now I think I have overbooked...what is everyone's must do for this age group.
CRT is a must for us, booked no problem. what else would people suggest!
thanks

I'll let the pictures of our character meals do the 'talking' here:

Hi,

We went with a 18mo DD and 3.5DS and the DD liked the characters until they got close to her - then not so much. DS loved everyone a ton. Crystal Palace is great with Pooh, Piglet and "E" and so is DHS Hollywood and Vine for breakfast - lots of dancing and interaction that both kids LOVED with Playhouse Disney music. Face characters were better for 18moDD - even Leo and June who are in costume, but are people of course.

It's great you are doing CRT. Try to meet Alice in England and do storytime with Belle. Also by the end of the trip DD was more into the characters than the beginning as she got used to seeing them around and was not so freaked out by the giant mouse and friends. You can also talk to them beforehand to help put them at ease a bit more but even so we have a few pictures of smiling characters and crying DD or nervous DD pushing them away - so we kept our distance with her most of the time.

Let them run around Pooh's thoughful spot for a break for all of you - it was a great little play area for that age!

Sydnerella's Mama

Easily Crystal Palace. I went with DD3 and DS1 in Sept and it was a hit. DS1 loved Pooh & Tigger!!! For DD3, it would have been CRT, but for both, Crystal Palace.

Another vote for CP. The breakfast is yummy there.

I would do Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey. CRT is very costly. I am waiting for my dd to get a little older but she's only one!!

I would say that you can't overbook character meals, they are so fun. They can be a little stressful, but the kids love them. We also enjoyed Akershus lunch, Chef Mickey's breakfast & dinner, 1900 Park Fare breakfast, Crystal Palace breakfast, & CRT lunch.

How are your kids with big costume characters? If they tend to be a little frightened by them, definitely consider Akershurs to meet the princesses. My 8 month old was a little "freaked out" by some of the larger characters, but was totally into the Princesses. We ate at Akershurs for Breakfast in 2007 and loved it. We are set to eat there for breakfast again this December:cool1:

My twin girls were a bit older, but absolutely LOVED Hollywood and Vine. If they are into Little Einsteins, they will meet some characters, sing and dance like crazy.

I think it's really what your kids like the best. We did austerhaus in Norway for the princesses and Crystal palace for Pooh and friends.

We've been four times over the last year when DD was 12 months, 14 months, 16 months and 22 months. We live very close to WDW. Here are the restaurants we enjoyed the most in order from the most to the least....
Crystal Palace (breakfast, lunch or dinner-- we love the dinner), Tusker House Donald Safari Breakfast, and Chef Mickey -- all very close tie for first. CRT, 1900 Park Fair, Akerhsus (sp?) Princess Breakfast, Coral Reef. Sci Fi is fun experience but food is not good. I would not recommend... Hollywood and Vine, Whispering Canyon or Ohana - I know Ohana is very popular but I feel food is average, lighting in restaurant is poor which makes for bad pictures, and you can see Mickey at much better locations. Just my humble opnion.
