We are staying at GCH for 4 nights in April and would like to do 1 character breakfast. Looking for a reco. My kids (8,8,3) are not into Princesses. I'm sure the 3 year old would love to see Mickey. Thanks!

In terms of character meals, there aren't a lot of character meals at DLR and most all are breakfast. Characters are subject to change without notice.
  • Plaza Inn (breakfast) - Minnie and friends (e.g., Eeyore, Tigger, Max, Rafiki, Fairy Godmother, Chip & Dale, Captain Hook - not all, some combination, varies)
  • Ariel's Grotto (breakfast and lunch) - Ariel and Princesses (e.g., Rapunzel, Belle, Snow White, Cinderella, Tiana - not all, some combination, varies)
  • Storytellers (breakfast) - Chip, Dale, and other woodland friends (usually Koda, Kenai, and Meeko)
  • Goofy's Kitchen (all meals) - Goofy and friends (usually Chip & Dale, Pluto, and Minnie)
  • PCH Grill (breakfast) - Mickey and friends (usually Pluto, Daisy, and Stitch).
For Mickey, your best bet is Surf's Up at PCH Grill.

Our favorite is Minnie's at the Plaza Inn. We usually see between 9-12 characters! Mickey is only at Surf's Up.

I like Surf's Up with Mickey the best...but only on a non-park day (like the day we leave). I hate giving up valuable opening time for breakfast. I like Minnie's at Plaza Inn if the park opens early and I can get a later seating.

Thanks! I'll do Surf's Up. Prices are not listed on website. Anybody knows them?

We love Surf's Up if we are going on a day off from the parks or Minnie's in the parks if you want a CM on a park day.

We really prefer Plaza Inn for Breakfast with Minnie and Friends.
Figmant_jii listed the characters (Eeyore, Tigger, Max, Rafiki, Fairy Godmother, Chip & Dale, Captain Hook) seen most often.
We have also seen Geppetto, Penguin from Mary Poppins and Pooh.

This takes care of two things at once....
1. Breakfast and 2. kids get to visit with the characters. This way we don't have to stand in lines for the photo op and autograph.

We have learned to do our MM the first opportunity we have when staying off-site. Then we'll book a character breakfast for the first time in the morning on and EE/MM day.

We also done Goofy's Kitchen, Surfs up at PPH and Storyteller's. But Minnie and Friends is our favorite.

Ok maybe I am crazy but can someone confirm Minnie is at the Minnie and friends breakfast? I never see her listed but would assume if it's Minnie and friends she is there?

Minnie and Friends is absolutely amazing, IMO! Mickey isn't there, but so many others are!! We met Minnie, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Captain Hook, Fairy Godmother, Rafiki, Eeyore, Chip and Dale and Max...tons of characters, and most of them visited more than once! (visits after the first meeting were more brief, but they still stopped :)) This will be a must do on our DLR list for years to come, I'm sure. We met Mickey back in Toontown instead, and that worked out well.

She is there, she greets you before going in to eat breakfast!
We had the first seating of the morning in November, and she came to our table like the rest of the characters did..she was not outside where they take your picture. I don't know if that was a time of the morning thing or what, but that's what we experienced :)

I've only had breakfast at Minnie's and let me tell you, it's pretty awesome. Minnie didn't greet us, but she came to our table and took many picture with my mom and I. We saw Chip and Dale (they were hilarious!), Captain Hook (my profile picture was taken at Minnie's breakfast actually!), Peter Pan, Geppett, Winnie Pooh, Minnie (of course) and Honest John from Pinocchio. It was great and I'll def do it again this year! :D

There are a few pics I took there! :D As you can see, we had a blast!

Same for us, she came to our table.

Mickey is pretty easy to find in Town Square, Toon Town, and on Buena Vista Street (in DCA). Your 3 yo will have good opportunities to meet him, so I would choose a character meal based on who else you'd like to meet.

Minnie's at the Plaza was AMAZING. We'll definitely do it again.
