Best Character Breakfast

Which is the best character breakfast for 2 adults and 2 children-5 and 2? Thanks in advance for your help!!

Boys or girls? We love Ariel's for princess interaction. But if you have boys who won't enjoy that, Plaza Inn is great. If you prefer not using a park day for character meals (like us) the I'd recommend Goofy's kitchen. . Storytellers is great too (I'm a chip-n- dale fan!)!!

I guess that's not much help. Sorry! It really depends on your group and schedule

Depends what you are going for. In my opinion:

Food wise I would say that Goofys is the best. Entertainment wise I would say that Mickey's Surfs Up at the PCH is the best (surfing and dancing for the kids). And for Characters I would say Minnies Breakfast in Disneyland.

My son who is 5yo would tell you his favorite is Minnies Breakfast. Lots of characters. Good character interaction. And he says they are the only ones who have Tigger there.

Other things to consider ...

1) If you have a PP+ card, you get hard and soft copies of the photo package at all character meals ($32.95 value each) except the Chip & Dale breakfast at Storytellers Cafe, which doesn't have a photo package yet.

2) If you have a Disney Visa, you get 10% off at the Mickey & Friends Surf's Up breakfast at the PCH Grill.

We were less than thrilled with Ariel's though dd4 loved it of course. We just loved Surfs Up!! The food was tasty and plentiful, lots of characters, great interaction, good service (drinks never empty) and not busy! We also got the Disney Visa discount which is great. I would highly recommend it

There can sometimes be vastly 'mixed' reviews of the food and character interaction at most of the meals, and at places like Goofy's Kitchen there may be only a few characters or there could be 8 characters. Those circumstances seem to differ.

What is certain is that:

1. Minnie & Friends in Disneyland has the most characters out of all the meals - like anywhere from 8 - 14 characters at a time;

2. Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel has the largest buffet and widest variety/selection of food;

3. Surf's Up with Mickey at the Paradise Pier is the only meal with Mickey (and Stitch!), and it gets rave reviews most of the the time for the superb character interaction;

4. Ariel's Grotto in DCA is all Princesses; and

5. Storytellers Cafe's Critter Breakfast at the Grand Californian Hotel offers both a small buffet and menu orders. Many people think that the food is better here than at Goofy's or Minnie & Friends. There are usually about 5 characters onsite, including Chip and Dale (but Chip and Dale are also at Goofy's and at Minnie's), Koda, Kenai and Terk - in other words, the woodsy/jungly Disney characters!

Another vote for Minnie's. Tons of characters which means tons of interaction time! I thought the food at storytellers was good but my 5yr old girl was not familiar with any of the characters except chip and dale.

Minnie's allows you to get in early even if you do not have MM or EMH benefits, if you book the first reservation of the day. We loved the character interaction, and the food was pretty good, too.
