Best Candy in United Kingdom Shop?!

Cadbury in the UK is made with cream..
Cadbury in the US is made with milk.
It really does taste different..It is still good though

I haven't been to the store at Disney but our World Market has Curly Whirly or something like that... it is exactly like the Marathon Bar we used to have when I was a kid (twisted like a braid caramel covered in chocolate) Hope Disney has those too :thumbsup2

Yes, they do have them. My daughter loves these and has bought them in EPCOT before. :)

I'm in the Uk and work in a shop that sells chocolate bars and other stuff
females generally always prefer cadburys chocolate were as men often eat twix, kitkats and mars etc
my favourites are probably cadbury creme eggs, dairy milk bars, flakes and freddos they are small so you get to eat at least 2

Is that what we call in the UK a Double Decker?:thumbsup2

Oh no no no, not at all. Double Deckers have like crispy cereal and nougat inside. Top Deck is literally just a bit slab of chocolate, bottom layer is milk chocolate and then the individual squares the tops of them are white chocolate.

I buy it at the Australia Shop in London or online because it's that good it's worth the effort. I swear the Australians are blessed with amazing chocolate. Dairy Milk Snack, where each square has a different filling like strawberry, caramel, pineapple, turkish delight... The Dairy Milk desserts, Cherry Ripe bars. Disney needs an Australia.

As for the teas, does Disney have PJ Tips?! You know your English when you sit down to a nice cup of PJ Tips.

Oh goodness you guys have reminded me of yet another thing I want to buy...flake bars!

okay, here's a question..how do you buy "a few" candy bars, and walk around in the heat without them melting in the florida sun??
It would be nice to bring a few home with me....

Thanks for all your replies to my question. Now I will be on a quest for chocolate in Epcot!:cool1: I'll have to check out some teas too!:thumbsup2

NatalieMT,

Oh my, that Top Deck looks amazing!

I always stock up on British chocolate while in WDW. I love the Flake bars. A friend of mine in college got me hooked on those (he was from South Africa) and also Nutella. When Alfredo's was still an Epcot fixture, they had this Nutella cake that was divine.

Now, who mentioned a chocolate exchange? I'm all for it....I'll send you boxes of Hershey's for boxes of Cadbury's.

:yay: :yay: :yay:

The deli by my office only sells candy from the UK. I go down there once every week or so and stock up for when I get stressed at work.

They sell packs of biscuits too. It's great.

Oh we have fantastic flakes here. There was the Snowflake which was a white chocolate flake dipped in milk chocolate and the Flake Praline. That's good! I must sound like I'm crazy for chocolate when in actual fact I'm allergic to dairy, not badly though so I can cheat and have some now and again. I'm a crave for those Twizzlers from Hersheys though.

I'm willing to send anyone or swap with anyone, for anything over here, anytime anyone wishes! Just let me know and I'm sure I can help you out.

HI,

I'm still wondering how you guys buy the chocolate in the UK without having it melt, carrying them around in the Florida heat??

I can see myself eating one on the spot but I'd like to buy more to bring home with me but I don't want them melted and ruined (going in Sept) ...will they deliver to your resort or is that too small a purchase to ask that?

Thanks

:cool1: :hippie: US Cadbury bars are made in Hazleton, PA. My mom retired from there about 10 years ago and she always had boxes and boxes around the house. Cadbury US was bought by Hershey several years ago so maybe the US Cadbury bars are made with Hershey chocloate if there is a difference. But I have to get over next month and try some of the candy after I get out of the Pub.

OMG they have Jelly Babies?! I think my little American Dr Who Fan Girl heart just burst. :worship:

We love Clubs (they come in orange and other flavours) - they are a biscuits and chocolate bar. Also, Flakes are excellent - flakey bars of chocolate. Love, love, love Galaxy bars - the chocolate is so creamy, just divine. Dairy Milk and Smarties (candy covered discs of chocolate) are also really good. DH loves Blue Ribands - its a smaller wafer type chocolate bar. British chocolate is terrific, so that's what I would go for although wine gums and for kids, the JellyBellys are tasty (ok for adults too!) DH's aunties and cousins bring what seems like suitcases full of this stuff when they come to visit from Scotland. We have some of the same brands in Canada, however the British chocolate is just better! :lovestruc

I wonder if you can't just send them back to your hotel via the store the way you would any other package?

Did a little research and from what I found out about how the transfer to your hotel is done (in bulk with other people's stuff who are staying gin the same hotel) and my own personal experience of having about ten dollars worth of stuff delivered back to the hotel for me, I doubt that buying a handful of candy bars would make for too little a purchase. (Esp at the prices I expect to pay for chocolate in Epcot).

I have to agree with people who have said Flake bars...I love them. The cast members in the tea shop once told me that Flake bars are especially good when crumbled on ice cream, and I keep meaning to try that but have yet to have them last more than 15 minutes in my possession ;)

If they have it, I also like the Cadbury Dairy Milk with Caramel...mmmm.
