Best building to stay in at Cabana Bay

Hey guys,

Thanks for a great forum. Love reading the stuff you post.

We have a 2 week family trip coming up at the end of September/beginning of October. We will be staying at Cabana Bay. Our first time on site. We did 2 weeks in Universal Orlando last fall and 2 days in Universal Los Angeles beginning of this year.

We booked a regular room at CB (2 adults and one 7 year old girl).

Where should we ask to stay? I have read somewhere about constructions. Is that the Aventura Hotel being built? We will be going to all of the parks, and in our room our main focus will probably be to get some peace and quiet time.

Any other tips for staying at CB are surely welcomed. Thanks in advance!

As you have a standard room, you'll be in the Towers section.
Americana, Continental, or the newest towers Bayside or Beachside.

If you worry about construction of aventura, ask for Continental or Beachside. they're as far away from construction as you can get with a standard room.

Note that Beachside will be the furthest away from lobby, food court and transportation

The best tip about CBBR would be to read the sticky about this hotel.

Not sure which buildings have which room types but last month we were in the Continental, pool view family suite. I requested lower floor close to elevators. I didn't want to be at the end farthest from the lobby and bus stop. We ended up on the 2nd floor, 4 doors from the lobby elevators and it was awesome. Really great location. Super convenient to pop into Bayliner for food/drinks, or Starbucks. Bowling alley is just steps away. Bus stop is just on the other side of Bayliner so that was pretty nice as well. Also really easy pool access. The only long walk was when we took the resort path to RPR for sushi one night and walking back from SF after catching the boat from CW. To get to the resort path you have to go through the lobby, then through the courtyard pool area to the end of the resort. Not super far but does add a little to the walk.

Never really paid much attention to the construction for Aventura, wasn't really an issue, couldn't hear it at all.

Thanks so much. I follow CBs page on TripAdvisor, and saw some people complaining about noise from a construction site. Maybe they were finishing up some things from Volcano Bay?

Anyways, thanks a lot for your reply. I can't wait for this vacation. I can't understand how we didn't stay on site last time around. It must be much better.

We stayed in Building 7, Bayside. I found it a little too far from everything but that is after a long day walking at the park :( It was nice to be in the new building thoughand the view of the Volcano was awesome!!!!
