Best Building in OKW?

Hi!! I am taking my 3 kids, hubby, and inlaws for a 2br stay at OKW in January
(Although I haven't got the points yet) and am looking for the best building to try to get into. My inlaws are mid 60s and we are concerned about the amount of walking they will do inside the parks. One of the reasons we chose OKW is because of the way DVC owners talk about the "feel" of the resort, away from it all, and relaxed. Is there a building that vies golf course and still close to a bus stop in a quiet area? Am I asking too much?

If you are worried about the amount of walking they will do, you might want to look into renting ECVs (motorized mobility scooters) for them. There is a link in my signature to the disABILITIES FAQs thread, where you will find info about ECVs. If you do rent ECVs, you should request first floor (make sure to request it for "Medical Reasons"). There are no elevators at OKW except in buildings 62, 63 and 64, so you may need
As for location, I would just request golf coarse view close to a bus stop; or possibly an area. If you request a specific building, they won't know why you requested that building and if there is not a 2 bedroom available in that building, you may not get what you want.
Here's a link to the OKW map. You can see that most of the views at OKW are either golf course or pond views. You can also see where the bus stops are on the map. The roads and parking are the light green areas of the map.

Okay, DH and I are mid 60's, and DH has bad knees. We stay at OKW a couple of times a year. LOVE the resort, and the stairs aren't really an issue, because they are low rise ones that are easy even on DH's bad knees.

As for views...There are far more good views than bad ones at OKW. MOST will have golf and water views, but a few will have woods or vegetation views. I'm going to print the OKW map here. Our favorite views are buildings 45, 46, 55, 15, 16, 20,21, 47, 48, and our least favorites that we have stayed in were 29, 38, and 51.

When making requests for OKW, your best bet is to state exactly what you want. For example: if you are wanting a golf course view, state you want a good golf course view, and then ask for an upper floor to make sure your view isn't blocked by foliage.

I forgot to mention that we walk less at OKW than we do when we stay at the other "hotel" type DVCs. You are usually close to a bus stop, and that means less walking than traversing long hallways or walking to two parks.
