Hello! My fiance and I are working out where we want to go on our Disneymoon for meals, and I know that we'll probably want to go to a buffet at least once for breakfast and once for lunch or dinner. I haven't been to most of the Disney parks since 1990, and fiance hasn't been since the 80s, so we don't really know where to go. We're not as interested in the character buffets, so having that as part of the atmosphere isn't as important to us.

So! With that in mind, what is your favorite

Breakfast Buffet?
Lunch/Dinner Buffet?

Thanks in advance =)

Okay, I know you said you don't need character buffets but I really recommend Crystal Palace breakfast! My fiance and I LOVE to eat here every trip and it's a must for our Disneymoon, too! It is a character meal with Pooh and friends but the characters are pretty good about leaving you alone if you don't want to be bothered. We like to take our pics and then get back to our food!
PUFFED FRENCH TOAST!!!

And, we haven't done it yet, but we're planning on trying the Beirgarten buffet for lunch also.

Our (DH and I) favorites are:

Biergarten for dinner
Cape May for dinner
Trail's End for breakfast or dinner
Fresh (at the Dolphin) for breakfast

We enjoy Crystal Palace for breakfast. Haven't tried lunch or dinner.
We enjoy Boma for dinner. We have heard many people love Boma's breakfast and will be trying it on our upcoming trip.

For dinner, I'd try Garden Grill in Epcot. It's not a buffet but is AYCS (All You Can Stuff). So, although more limited in the choices you still get to fill up, the food is brought to you instead of more walking around, the rotating restaurant is quiet (you can actually visit) relaxing and serene, and you get dessert with the meal.

A vote for Boma for breakfast or dinner and Crystal Palace for dinner. We never tried breakfast at CP but have heard that it's great too.

DH and I LOVED Boma in AKL. It's a great buffet for adults and it really does not feel like you are eating at a buffet. We had dinner there last time and will be doing breakfast in October, both meals are great!

Crystal Palace had a excellent lunch but it's also a character meal if you want to fit one in during your stay...it might be fun!

Chef Mickey's for Breakfast (there are characters-- but I love the food!)

and...

Boma for Dinner!

1900 Park Fare for breakfast and/or dinner.
Cape May Cafe' for breakfast and/or dinner (clam bake dinner buffet).
Boma for breakfast and/or dinner.
Crystal Palace for breakfast.
Biergarten for lunch or dinner.
Chef Mickey's for dinner.

Thanks for all the opinions so far =) I know we have awhile before we need to book things, but by 90 days out I'm going to have so much going on with the wedding, I'd just feel better making these decisions now so I'm not scrambling at the last minute!

Our favs are :

Beirgaren dinner
Boma breakfast
Chef Mickeys breakfast
Crystal Palace breakfast and dinner
Cape May breakfast and dinner

Our favorite for breakfast or dinner has been Boma!! :thumbsup2 It's a must do on every visit for us.

We have not done Cape May yet but have heard great things about it!

I loved Crystal Palace for "brunch." We went for a late breakfast and were there when they switched over to the lunch foods--both meals were yummy!

Another vote for 1900 Park Fare. there are characters
We also like Chef Mickeys.

Boma's for Breakfast (don't miss the Frunch juice) or Dinner (ZEBRA DOMES!!). Boma's for dinner on Saturdays is a particular favorite of mine, because they have Ribs on the buffet.

Crystal Palace for Breakfast OR Lunch.

Cape May for Dinner (and don't miss the Oreo Bon Bons for dessert!).

Cape May and Boma are definitely looking great.

I'll probably make a new thread about this in the resorts section at some point, but for those of you who see this, how easy/difficult is it to get around from one resort to another to do meals there? We're staying at Coronado Springs and will probably only have a rental car for half our trip.

Those are our two dinner buffet favorites.

Getting from resort to resort is tricky, and you'll really appreciate that car to avoid stops and bus changes.

From Coronado Springs, for instance, if you wanted to go to AKL, your best bet would be to go to the Animal Kingdom park (during operating hours), then change buses to go to AKL. Resorts on the monorail are easier to get to - just go to the MK, and hop the monorail. Later in the evenings, we've found that using Downtown Disney as a "hub" works pretty well.

Just ask your hotel concierge. They can be tremendous help, and since routes are tinkered with frequently, they'll have the best info.

Bottom line ... it's just kinda hard to get from resort to resort. Give yourself plenty of time!

Hm, you're right, it probably would make more sense if we can to go from a certain park to resort instead of driving over from our hotel. Good thing we have the park hopped :)
