Best Buffet for Seafood??

Hiya, bit of a random one but anyway...

We were looking at Inventions but it is so expensive (we're on a bit of a budget!) and we're already doing the Sunday Brunch at the Steakhouse so decided against it. However.... my hubby loved the look of the seafood table on the reviews pics and so now wants to go there. I don't think a few prawns is a worthy reason tbh :rolleyes1.. as much as I appreciate Inventions is probably great but we're going to keep it for next time when we do a mon-fri trip.

Sooo, do are any of the other buffets good for seafood? so perhaps I can sway DH to one of those instead? Cape Cod and Hunters Grill both list seafood on the MK site but obviously I don't know how accurate that is and any personal views would be much appreciated!! I had a look on the reviews on here but there aren't many for HG or CC.

I know Blue Lagoon is predominantly seafood but I'm not keen on cooked fish and the prices are quite steep for the things I would eat. May be a last resort though :)

Any thoughts?? :confused3

Don't you just love meal planning!! :rotfl:

There was quite a lot of fish at Hunters Grill last week: smoked salmon, smoked cod, salmon mousse, prawns, smoked mackerel, whelks and at least one hot fish (salmon I think), but nowhere to compare with the seafood at Inventions. We loved both Hunters Grill and Inventions last week. There is a huge difference in price but i do think that it is proportionate to the quality of the food. Hope this helps.
Have fun

The only 2 other buffets we tried was thr 1 at the Cheyenne and Rest de stars but dont remember seeing any seafood at these places, so if there was any there wasnt much. Whereas Inventions had a whole trolley for seafood not just prawns though

Cape Cod and Parkside Diner both had mini seafood versions of Inventions!

From memory there in both they had prawns, smoked salmon, and in cape cod they also had snails, salmon mousse and they both had cooked fish options for the buffet.

Parkside Diner had roasted cod loin and roasted salmon, and the Cape Cod had a fish stew and roasted salmon.

Plus lots of other yummy things!!!

Hope this helps!

Thanks guys!

I knew the regular buffets wouldn't but thought the better hotels might so glad to hear it!

Think we're going to try Cape Cod then and then maybe pop across to the SL for a drink on another evening. Good excuse to check out a couple of different hotels too!! Especially as I'm sure once this trip is done we'll be counting the days til we can book for our Christmas trip next year!! How are we going to manage a whole year when we've been twice 6 months apart this year!!
