Best Budget Advice on Cubs Tickets

Hoping someone here can help. Never done this before so don't know where to start.

Do know that there are some obstructed views but don't know where but that is about it. Is Stubhub the best/cheapest place to purchase?

It is a midweek day game so I don't think that it will be too packed but then what do I know? I would like to get some fairly decent seats for around $50 or less if that 's possible and would like to get as close to the field as possible. I have looked at all the seat types and I am so confused.

Are infield box, terrace box and terrace reserved infield good seats?

Also, since it's a day game would it be better to be under cover with either the sun or rain maybe being an issue? What is their policy if a game gets rained out----can we go another day or will they more than likely just play anyways?

Any other advice anyone would have to give would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

This year getting into Wrigley is no problem. For the cheapest prices go to the Chicago Cubs website, they are not selling out this year except for select dates against the Cardinals and such. Weekend games may be harder to get prime seats but there are ticket brokers (legal) around the park that will have great seats at a reasonable price right up to game time on weekdays. I use a service that is on Addison St. next to the big T-shirt store. I went to a Yankee game and used this business and paid $75 for box seats. If you've never been I would only sit in box or reserved seats. The lower box seats down the first base line will be in the sun most of the day, the third base line seats will be in the sun until about the 6th inning. I would only sit in the upper deck as a last resort, instead sit in the sunny bleachers all day for a true Wrigley experience. For an all inclusive experience you can buy a ticket to a roof top across the street. These must be bought a day ahead of time (not game day) and are more expensive but food and drink are included. If the game is rained out your ticket will be honored on the date the game is rescheduled. This year if I was going to a game I would make sure the weather was good and just wing it and try to get the best deal I could from a broker. In the next year or two if all goes to plan this system will not work as the Cubs by then are supposed to be contenders. One other thing, the area around Wrigley really hops on game days. There are tons of bars and restaurants within 3 blocks of the stadium, Get there at 11am for a 1pm game and have a drink at Murphys or the Cubbie Bear. Also if you drive be prepared to pay as much to park your car as your ticket. There is very limited official parking. You will pay $50 to park in a church parking lot. Do not park on the street you will be ticketed and towed if you don't have a resident sticker. Have fun,

Love the idea of getting them from a broker for savings but it would make me a little nervous to go up there and not have a ticket---is this common practice?

I've heard both its cheaper through stubhub and now cheaper through the cubs website---does anyone know which is the best? I would really prefer to have tickets in hand to give to DD for her birthday to open before we go but if the broker thing is workable and would save money I would be all for it. Dont' know about getting to one of them though as we will not be familiar with the area at all.

What would you guys do??
