My DH and I are going for our first ever adults only trip to WDW, no grandchildren or children:) He really liked the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. However, since we have already eaten with Alice, is there another place that has a good breakfast buffet without characters?

The Wave has a really nice breakfast buffet and so does the Captain's Grille at the Yact club. The Wave is at the Contemporary. Both are good buffets and reasonable price. Trails End also has a good buffet at the Fort Wilderness. Check them out!

I've heard Boma has a great breakfast buffet, but I haven't tried it yet.

The Wave breakfast buffet was good.

If you're open to more than a buffet, Kona Cafe has a great breakfast. Tonga Toast!

Trails End!!! Delicious!
Their moonshine is to die for :) it's not alcohol lol

I have also heard that Boma has an amazing breakfast buffet. We are looking forward to trying it on our next trip! Other awesome breakfasts IMO are Kona Cafe & Crystal Palace (I know you said no characters but we just love winnie the pooh, lol, and poohs puffed french toast is really yummy as well!). Other places that I have heard that have really awesome breakfasts that we haven't eaten at yet for breakfast are The Wave, Trails End, Whispering Canyon, and Garden Grill. We always ate Garden Grill for dinner before but on our next trip we are looking forward to trying their breakfast! It also opens up another dinner option for us to eat at in World Showcase since we will be eating at Garden Grill for breakfast, :) yay for options!

Olivia's is my favorite but it isn't a buffet. Other than that I've heard great things about the Wave! Have fun!

My 2 favorites that I absolutely love for breakfast without characters are Kona at the Poly and Grand Floridian Café. When I go solo, I love going to both during the trip. The food is so delicious at both, and nice atmosphere. The macadamia pineapple pancakes at Kona are amazing! The best pancakes I've ever had. My favorite coffee is at Kona, and we really loved the coffee at GFC also.. but the Kona press pot is the best on property IMO. We always do a very early breakfast ADR at both, before heading to MK or Epcot via the monorail afterwards. Great way to start the day.

I have heard great things about The Wave and Trail's End also. Those are 2 that we'd love to try.

Hands down best breakfast buffet is Boma. It's huge and has so much to offer both standard and a little more adventurous. The Wave has an excellent buffet. It is small, but everything on it is very well done. I personally don't care for Trail's End. Its a southern style breakfast which is fine. But I grew up in Alabama and my own biscuits and gravy are far better lol.

I love the Wave or Kona Cafe ordering for non-buffet options (haven't tried the Wave buffet yet)

Boma is my favourite non-character buffet breakfast

Been to breakfasts at Kona, Boma, Wave, Trails End, Whispering Canyon and Crystal Palace. The best buffet is at Boma, due to African flavors, meat selections and Bobatie(great). DW loves the tonga toast at Kona but it has been changed from sourdough to a different bread now. The Wave has both buffet and ala carte

I can see that my problem will be not where to eat breakfast. It will be not having enough days to eat at all these recommended places. Thanks everyone!

I agree with the Wave (more Adult--Plus they have a Breakfast Buffet) and maybe Kona, We really enjoyed Tusker house but it is extremely Loud in there with all the Characters and Kids! Kona was even loud at dinner time (crying kids--that no one in there party did anything about).

OK - sorry OP I'm piggybacking on your thread.....My husband and I will also be vacationing without children. We've never been to 1900 Park Fare. Already have breakfasts planned for CP, GG and BOG (we've done that one before). Want to schedule at least 1 more, and was going to do Kona Cafe (where we've also eaten before). But now am thinking should switch one to 1900 PF or Boma? recommendations?

Best Adults-only breakfast - room service.

Best buffet without Characters - Fresh, inside Dolphin. If you like fresh juices (i.e., carrot, beet, wheatgrass), then this is 'the' place.

No problem about piggybacking:) We loved 1900 Park Fare. I have eaten both dinner with Cinderella and her sisters, which is a very interactive character experience and breakfast. Breakfast is with Alice, the Mad Hatter and Mary Poppins. The breakfast was tasty and Winnie the Pooh and Tigger also show up. At dinner Cinderella's step mother and step sisters really cut up with the guests. They were so much fun. My grandchildren enjoyed both experiences.

We already have a dinner planned at Boma. I think we will eat at Kona Cafe or the Wave, my DH will only do one character meal this trip since we have no kids with us. I want to eat at Tusker House with Mickey so...

Really tempted to try 1900 PF. I am a little concerned my husband will feel way overdone with the character breakfasts.

We loved Kona by the way - that would be my husband's preference, but I really like trying new places.
