Best breakfast not inside a park

We are taking a seven day vacation and we are actually taking a vacation from our vacation.

That day off we want to do a breakfast but here are the rules

• Not Chef Mickey's
• Not inside the park
• Dining plan eligible

Good non-character options: Boma. The Wave. Captain's Grill. Kona Cafe. Grand Floridian Cafe.

Good character options: Cape May, 1900 Park Fare.

Bad option: Chef Mickey's.

Boma has a great breakfast. Negative is if you have kids it is not a character meal.

These two would also be my first two choices...and agree that they would likely remain at the top, regardless of location. Cape May might be a third out-of-park option (particularly if you want characters).

Boma, Kona, GF Café are all great breakfast options. I haven't had breakfast at the wave or captains grill yet but I hear theyre both amazing.

Character meals: I really like Cape May. Its the quietest character meal around....great food and decor. Plus characters are adorable in their swim wear. There's also Ohana...love the fact that you sit and chill while the characters and food come to you.

Lastly, there's 1900 PF. I didn't really care for this one. Food was decent but there's nothing outstanding about this place....not enough to go out of my way for.

I totally agree with both of these. Though i'd go for the macadamia pineapple pancakes at Kona

What resort are you staying at? If it's one that has a table service restaurant, it may be best to just go there and then enjoy a relaxing pool day!

Otherwise, even though I'm not into character meals, we had breakfast at Cape May once when we were staying at the BWI on our day of departure. We had a TS credit to use up, so decided to feed the kids a nice big breakfast (I'm not a big breakfast eater). The food was very nice and fresh, the characters are cute, and the variety was great. When I saw the cost, I wouldn't have paid OOP for it for sure! But to use a TS credit it was impressive!

Otherwise, I agree with Boma as being good as well. But personally if I were using a TS credit, I'd do dinner instead. Get to the AKL a couple hours early, walk around & see the animals, have a cocktail in the lounge, then enjoy dinner there! It's really good!

We are staying at the All-Star sports resort so scratch eating at the hotel
We actually designed our day off to travel around to a couple of the different hotels that we haven't seen. We do plan some pool time there as well as another evening because the parks are closing early due to the Mickey Halloween party
