We always carefully plan our dining ressies out months in advance for our yearly trip to WDW. This time, we had a budget for food, so we tried to book places that we (6 people) could eat without spending a slight fortune. We have been staying at the Boardwalk Villas for the past week, and noticed Cat Cora's restaurant- Kouzzina- had taken over where Spoodles used to be. We have seen Cat Cora on Iron Chef, so we figured we would check out the menus. They serve breakfast and dinner. The dinner was a bit pricey- about $20-$30 a person (entry only), but we noticed that the breakfast was only $10-$12 a person (plus drinks, of course). They accept TiW, so we decided to give the breakfast a try. I have a deadly tree nut allergy, so as usual, we told the waitress and she went to get the chef. The chef is a woman named Marylin, and she is the chef for breakfast-only. She was by far, the nicest and most helpful chef I have ever met. She was extremely friendly, talked to my family etc., took my order separate, cooked it on a separate allergy-free griddle, then came to our table 3 times throughout the meal to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. We have eaten many breakfasts throughout the years, both in and out of WDW, but this was by far the best. The restaurant is set up kind of modern decor, and the kitchen is open so you can see what is going on. The breakfast was unbelievable, I had a belgian waffle with whipped marscapone cheese and honey drizzle with maple syrup, my siblings had challah french toast, a minimally 12" pancake made with granola and blueberries baked throughout, and my parents had a vegetable flatbread with egg, roasted peppers, feta, and spinach with a light vinegarette wilted over the top. This breakfast was one of the best, if not the best, we have ever had, and we would recommend it to anyone. There hasn't been much talk about Kouzzina, but I think it is definitely a restaurant that would be a "must do" for breakfast. There are plenty of choices for kids, and anyone with allergies can rest assured that the chef is extremely accomodating. We were also told Cat herself eats there with her family periodically.
