please give me your favorite breakfast buffet, outside of the parks, but NOT chef mickey's.
we've done CM's a lot and want something new. i currently have 'ohana booked but i'm thinking i may change it. we'll be there during free dining in Sept.

TIA

Boma at AKL and 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian are two of our faves.

Boma has a very extensive breakfast buffet with the usual and not so usual offerings. It's a huge restaurant and they have many different stations, so there's never a long wait on line. They will make omelets, scrambled eggs, etc to order. They pretty much have everything!

1900 Park Fare is a character meal featuring Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh characters, Alice, and the Mad Hatter. The buffet area isn't too big, but they have some of the best food. I love their blintzes! Strawberry soup is yummy! **It's scheduled to close for renovations, but they'll have some character meal in the Grand Floridian Cafe intead-- preplated, not buffet. Not sure of the dates though**

We love Ohana's :cloud9: We're going back there in a couple of weeks for our 3rd time for breakfast. We had dinner at Chef Mickey's over Easter break, it was okay, I can't comment on the breakfast food.

The food, the character interaction, the timely reservations....Is why we're heading there for our trip with DNephew....

Enjoy!

I have done the character ones in the past and both my girls don't like it. The food was great, but they didn't want the characters coming to the table! Also when my girls were very young they didn't eat anything as all they wanted to do was talk to the characters. Times change! So now we are going to try boma as it is non character!

IMHO, an early Crystal Palace breakfast is the best. You can get into the Magic Kingdom before it opens and take pics on a deserted Main Street. It is really neat to see the park like that. Oh, and the food is pretty good as well! ;)

My favorite is the Cape May Cafe breakfast at the Beach Club.

Cape May is my favorite. Very relaxed atmosphere and lots of character interaction.

Have a great trip!!

Trails End at FW!!

OH! I mean....not Trails End. Its awful and you should never go there!

(whew - almost made the line longer. close call)

Another vote for Trails End Buffeteria, we have a group of picky eaters and everyone found something to eat. The food was awesome! The kids loved the free refills of chocolate milk.

My DH swears by Donald's Breakfastasaurus character meet buffet in Ak!

For something really different, try Spoodles. It's not a buffet, but you can order an all you can eat skillet with a lot of choices for about $10. It's prepared fresh to order and beats every buffet at Disney. Oh, and the coffee is to die for! Can't wait for October.

Well since you limited this to OUTSIDE the parks I would have to say 1900 Park Fare. We have only done CM and 1900 for breakfast outside the parks. If you allow INSIDE the park I would say CP all the way!

Another BOMA vote. In place of the Mickey you get to see the animals after and the lodge is just amazing
