I don't like regular pancakes either but something made me order these (with chicken sausage) from the room service menu when I stayed at BLT. O. M. G. they are so good. They taste kind of like a not too sweet but very moist pumpkin (or sweet potato) quick bread in flattened form, but the texture is very very smooth and they are more dense (like pancakes in texture I guess, but like a quick bread in flavor). They were served with some kind of sweet nutty butter. Get it with the chicken sausage, it is a great pair (not too heavy or greasy or salty or sagey, they are so good). I ended up ordering room service twice more just for the pancakes.
