Best Book About Disney?

my dh is a disney nut, or so he would have others believe so for fathers day id like to get him a book with some "behind the scenes" info. he had books like this when he was a kid, and he still talked about them on our recent trip. id like to get something newer, something he hasnt read before. any recommendations?

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but it might be worth checking out. I think its something like The Imagineering Field Guide to the Magic Kingdom. They are supposedly doing a whole series with all the parks, but the only one I know they came out with so far is the MK.

yes, something like that. i was reading about that one on amazon and it sounded interesting, but one review said it was a small disappointing book. i was hoping to find some opinions of it here, either confirming or denying that review, or recommending one of the following:

101 Things You Never Knew About Walt Disney World: An Unauthorized Look at Tributes, Little Touches, And Inside Jokes

The Walt Disney World Trivia Book : Secrets, History & Fun Facts Behind the Magic

or maybe there are others that i dont know about?

If he likes trivia about WDW, I thouroughly enjoyed "Married To The Mouse, Walt Disney World and Orlando" by Richard E. Foglesong. It's available at Amazon.com. Lots of behind the scenes stuff and a good read.

Not sure where you can get it, but my favorite is "Since the World Began" which is a fascinating history of the conception and construction of WDW. Hardcover coffee-table type book. Amazon may have new and/or used copies.

Since the World Began and the Imagineering Fieldguide are both good choices. If he's interested in Disney as a company my DH is currently reading Disneywar and is enjoying it a lot.

I've read so many of them, and my personal favorite that I often cheerlead for is:

How To Be Like Walt by Pat Williams

It is excellent. It contains alot of info not included in any other Disney book. I could read it again and again.
