Hi I'm stayin in santa fe in november. I stayed in Cheyenne last year think i was in the furthest block from reception / bus stop i could be which at night returning from park with avery tired 3 year old was no good. Does anyone know the best block to stay in at santa fe thats closest to reception / la cantina restaurant/ bus stop ??? Just so I can send them a wee email to ask for it.

Thanks

Gaby

I phoned the Santa Fe yesterday evening to request adjoining rooms in a small block. The CM I spoke to was lovely, understood perfectly what I wanted.

Maybe that would be a better idea, phoning the hotel a couple of weeks before you are due to go? I don't think they assign rooms until around then anyway.

Sorry, I always forget block numbers etc at every hotel we've stayed at, including the Santa Fe :confused3 .

we have booked SANTE FE also for november, and have two young children, so really want quieter blocks... what number would i ring..as you say a few weeks before?

We stayed at the Santa Fe and when we checked in I asked for a room as far away from the breakfast room as possible, we were in the closest block to the park and it certainly saved us 5 mins walking back in the evening. Unfortunatly I can't remember the name of the block, infact I don't even know if they had names or numbers!

The number to speak to the Santa Fe direct is
0033 160 45 78 00.

All the onsite (and most of the associated) hotels phone numbers are in the Very Useful Information sticky on this forum :thumbsup2 - under "booking and contact numbers".

Hey Gaby, we lucked out when we went for our first trip recently, and were put in block 40 which is DEFINITELY the closest to reception and the breakfast cantine. We loved it! Looking at the map I have, the block next to that no 49 would also be close, so either of those should be fine. :thumbsup2

FYI In terms of the best block for being closest to the parks, that would be number 14, which is right next to the bridge. :)

hiya

just got back from dlp and the Santa Fe we were in block 14 which wasnt too far from reception 5 mins at most and quite close to the foot bridge to walk along the canal to the park wasnt a bad block at all it was quiet enough:goodvibes

I'm going to request Block 14 again for December ~ yes, it is further from the main area but as others mentioned above, it is closer to the park and the views over the bridge/river/hotel Cheyenne are lovely. We also had a view of HNY and the balloon going up over the lake.

Being near the reception area might be better though if you have very small children and plan to use the shuttle bus (which we don't, as the walk along the SL is pleasant)
