Best beauty splurge?

My favorite is Too Faced Better Than False Lashes Mascara. It give me long lashes with out clumping or flaking and it was the best $30 I've ever spent. Ulta is a very dangerous store for me to go in.

Too faced is on my list to try next!

I have tried:

Benefit They're Real
benefit bad gal
Smashbox full exposure
Buxom
Stila
Makeup forever
Calvin Kilen
Various Maybelline

I have a mascara problem.

Clinique 3 step system and the Clinique sonic face cleanser brush for cleaning and moisturizing. My skin has never been more soft or had smaller pores.

Bareminerals bareSkin serum foundation (and the brush) for makeup. This stuff is amazing for me. I only have to use 4 tiny drops to cover my entire face and it takes about 30 seconds to apply. It doesn't feel like I'm wearing foundation but it covers everything. Plus it is a serum so it is improving my skin at the same time (less red areas and less dark spots).

I really want the Naked3 palette but I just haven't been able to pay $54 for eyeshadow when I don't wear it all that often. There is a cheaper alternative from Revolution that people give good reviews but it is based in London and the shipping charges eat away at the savings.

Creme de la Mer has been my best splurge ever, and definitely my biggest splurge! It does last a long time, though; you only need a pea size amount each application.

I hardly ever spend money on myself, which helps ease any guilt for spending so much just for a moisturizer :)

I like this thread!! I'm going to try the 3D mascara some of you mentioned. I splurge on my moisturizers. I use Rhonda Allison antioxidant serum and Philosophy hope in a jar.

Does the Clinique brush use batteries or does it have a charger? I have a cheaper brand that I like fine but it uses batteries and it eats through them like crazy. :confused3
I've been considering a clarisonic because of it.

Have you seen the Coastal Scents palettes? They just came out with a "Revealed 2" and it has colors that are dupes for the Naked 3 I've heard. I own the original "Revealed" that's an almost perfect dupe for the Naked 1 and 2 and I love it. The pigmentation is good and I have no problems with the colors staying put. They have a little more fallout I think, but they're regularly only $20. So I can deal with that. Haha. They usually do a sale for Black Friday I've heard also. So you might be able to snag them even cheaper.

A Clarisonic is my biggest splurge. I have had mine for years and it is one of the few things that if it broke I would go buy a new one the same day. I love it so much DH is getting his own for his birthday. He uses mine overtime we are on vacation. He is always bugging me to unpack it. :lmao:

I love the Urban Decay Naked palettes. They are a lot of money but is a lot of eyeshadow. I just got a Too Faced palette and I am really liking that and it was a little cheaper.

Hourglass powders, primers, and blush are also splurges but wonderful products.

I've tried coastal scents, for me, the pigmentation wasn't good and it really irritated my eyes. I did like the price though. Lol

I love Too Faced eye shadow pallets.

Foundations....love the bareskin liquid serum, It CC cream and Tarte Amazonian clay full coverage liquid foundation.

I love Elizabeth Arden's Double Density mascara in the black square tube. They've changed the name recently and I'm hoping it's the same formula. I tried the Ceramide and it wasn't as good.

Also just bought some Regenerist eye serum. It was around $12 with a coupon so we'll see how it does. Hope I don't have to go to the expensive creams for just a little moisture around the eyes. The Miracle Blur didn't really do the trick.

For anyone with pigmentation problems with eye shadow try putting a base on first. I use the ELF one and it works great for $1

It has a charging base, so no batteries. Each charge lasts 180 minutes of use. So if you use it for 1 minute twice a day like suggested it should stay charged for 90 days.

I'll look into Coastal Scents palettes....thanks for the suggestion.

Bare mineral bb cream eyeshadow. I use it as a primer. I'm on a tight budget And it seems a little frivolous but...

I agree with all the " they're real'" mascara lovers... I too received a free sample and it's amazing. Just wish it weren't so pricey

Aww. Well boo. I hate when I find something that works really well for other people and it doesn't work for me. That's how I was with BareMinerals. I wanted to love it so much, and it was just terrible for my skin.

Definitely. Primer's help a ton. I use the NYX hd primer. I think it's like $7? I've never tried the ELF one. I'll have to pick some up and see how it works for me.

I'll have to look into that one too. Thanks for the info!

I have also been curious about Tarte Amazonian clay blush. I went ahead and ordered Sephora's $10 blackfriday deal to try it out. I'll let you guys know what I think after I get it.
