Best beach in the Tampa area

Just looking for a pretty, white sand beach to stop at after WDW on our way to visit the in-laws who live 1 hour north of Tampa. We've taken our kids several times to the brown, hard-packed beaches of east Florida and would like to show them a really pretty beach. Would prefer something easy access! Thanks

Sand Key just south of Clearwater Beach was gorgeous. We stayed at the Sheraton right on the beach...perfect white sand....clear, warm blue water...bliss.

Caladesi Island, just north of Clearwater is another excellent option. A truly beautiful beach.
