Best Bathrooms?

The Alice bathrooms for sure. Always clean and always empty. I have never encountered more than 2 people at a time in there. Also, the theming is very cute.

I agree with the comments on the bathroom by Alice/Matterhorn. That bathroom is a favorite spot for our family. Also, one that I have never seen more than two people at a time is the bathroom next to Autopia (foot traffic in that area is minimal as well). In DCA, our favorite bathroom is next to Paradise Garden Grill/Boardwalk Pizza. We probably like that bathroom because it's never crowded, and we eat at Boardwalk Pizza every trip.

The better question might be, which bathrooms to avoid? Agree 100% on NOS. I also stay away from Adventureland entrance due to the foot traffic area, and it seems to always be packed. My theory is, you walk right towards it, and it triggers subconscious thoughts of 'maybe we should take a quick bathroom break for the kids and/or me'.

Good/relevant topic, especially for parents.

The Adventureland bathroom is greatly improved with the refurb that reopened in the last 90 days. Almost double in space (at least the women's.)

This thread makes me laugh to know that others make the same observations. Glad it's not just me. (Big City Hall fan here, too!)

So many people have commented on NOS. They have to re-do them one at a time. Since the NOS ones seem so neglected, I bet they get an overhaul now that the Frontierland ones are looking brand spanking new. That would make sense as to why there hasn't been even a band-aid style freshen-up lately.

Hooray for clean "convenience stations!"

I could smell the NOS ones from WAAAAAY far away this last trip. I refused to go in. I used the ones by Carnation Cafe instead. You know what else stinks? The area in CA by The carousel and Midway Mania. It stunk last time we went too. Like sewer. My husband's a plumber and it drives him crazy...he wants to make it stop. LOL

If possible avoid the bathroom in Toon Town. It's dinky. I'm glad someone mentioned the restroom by the Fantasyland theater. I think next time we're in Toon Town the Fantasyland Theater restroom will be our restroom destination.

Are there any "companion" restrooms or whatever they are called left? When we were there in 2015, we used one near Fantasyland theater. Not sure if it still exists or if there are any others. But it was so much easier to do diaper changes in those. Would be even better now that my son is much larger and still in diapers. (Plus, he has sensory issues so the chaos of a large bathroom can be tricky.)

There is one in the Aladdin area of Adventureland. The one at Tour Garden is usually available also. I can't remember if the one at the Tiki room is a companion one or not. You can always take him to the Child center by Plaza Inn, it is probably the best.

I was never sure if it was okay for me to use the restroom inside the child centers or if they were just for pregnant women or something. That's why I liked the companion ones because I could take care of my son and then I could also use the bathroom. I do remember using the bathroom inside the child center at California Adventure but I was worried I wasn't supposed to.

The best bathroom in either park though, is the one in Carthay Circle Lounge on the second floor. The doors reach all the way down to the ground so it feels very private in there and I've never had to wait. You don't have to be eating at the restaurant to go and it's nicely air conditioned inside. Plus if you have someone waiting for you, they can enjoy the nice old Hollywood pictures of Walt Disney and jazz standard versions of Disney songs

This is interesting, I have never tried it but I will.

Before learning this, I would have said that the best bathroom for men and boys is the one at Ariel's Grotto. Just like the Carthay Circle Lounge one, you don't have to be eating there to use it -- but nobody ever just "pops in" to use it because you have to go down the stairs and I think people feel awkward doing that. It also has wonderful air conditioning, and great "under the sea" decor. But best of all, given that it's just restaurant customers using those bathrooms, there is hardly ever anyone in the men's room (the women's room apparently sees more activity, but it's never been crowded when my family has been in the area).

If you are a man and you want a quiet place to do your business, you can't go wrong at Ariel's!

There is a relatively new companion restroom at the Hungry Bear, also at Flo's (might be 2 there).

There is at least one, maybe two, family/companion restrooms in Bugsland.

That totally makes sense about the men's room! However, I have definitely been in the women's room at Ariel's when it was totally packed, and more than once, with little girls changing into or out of their princess gear in the stalls.

the best washroom is the little washroom in the queue for tiki room.

i heard that the best washroom on the east side is the one by Autopia, and the best one on the west side is by Hungry Bear.

I've never thought about there being a restroom there since the Adventureland/Frontierland restroom is so close. Would I be able to go into the queue just to use the restroom and then leave?

No. If you go in the waiting area they will force you to listen to the Tiki Birds sing. LOL. Just kidding of course no one will stop you from walking out of the waiting area
