So we are headed back to WDW this Christmas and I think I would like to switch up my current backpack for one that provides for airflow and is lighter. Does anyone have any suggestions for what the best backpack is for at the Disney parks? TIA:worship:

I always gfound the ones at MEC to be the best. I had one for when it was just me and DW and upgraded to a slightly larger one after the kids came along.

Mountain Equipment Coop (MEC)

We like a backpack that isn't to bulky, even two small ones we find better then one big backpack

I hear great things about the Baggallini messenger sling bags. You should check out the bag thread on the Disney World Tips board

We got a Roots backpak at Costco last year that I just love, we use it all the time. I saw they still were selling them on the weekend I might get another one.

We have the same backpack and use it for all our family outings! We got a couponbook in the mail yesterday for $5 off the bag so we may pick up another one!

I got those coupons too, I think I will go check them out....thanks for all the suggestions!!!!

My MEC bag has held together strong through several WDW (and other) vacations.

In addition to comfort, look for something that's simple and reliable. When you go through bag-scan security at the entrance to each park, you don't want to have a bag with a sticky zipper or one with 7 different pockets. (My MEC bag has two small pockets plus a big main storage compartment, all with good zippers.)

We actually kept and still use our Baby Gap knapsack / diaperbag.
It doesn't look like a diaper bag at all - it's plain black, with a teeny-tiny teddy bear logo on the middle of the flap and the words "Baby Gap". Very discreet.
But it's extremely light, very durable and hard wearing (ours is six years old and has been loaned out for extended periods, twice), with TONS OF POCKETS. There is a zippered flap pocket, a front deeper pocket, two side pockets (for bottles of ANY type, ha ha), and then the inside has a split mesh pocket along the front, and then a double-slotted pocket, a bit deeper, along the back.
Most importantly, the shoulder straps are hugely wide, so it's comfortable for wearing all day long.

I've bought it for two other girlfriends who swear by it.
