hi all -- we are planning our first trip to the world late nov. my husband really wants to go to victoria and alberts -- so he made reservations yesterday. so we will need a babysitter for our almost 5 year old and 7 month old (at the time of trip) im already nervous about it!! at this point we have never left the baby (4 months now) and only leave the oldest with my in-laws. does anyone have a good service or babysitter that they recommend??

worried mom needs some reassurance!!!! (SP)

I know some people have used kidsnightout. We have them booked for our first time ever in Sept. I will post a report when we return.

Will also have to recommend Kid's Nite Out. Check out their web site, as I did, and was impressed at the postings from parents who have used this service. Their phone # is 407-828-0920 or 800 696-8105. I reviewed the web site and prepared questions before calling them. This is the only program that has to go through additional training through Disney and is considered the official sitting service of WDW. I have worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for 22 years and I will be using this service for my two grandchildren in September. There are a couple of others locally but I appreciated the additional training required for these folks. They come to your room with a bag of toys and activities geared to the age of your children. They also are required to wear purple (I think that's the color) polo type shirts with the Kids Nite Logo on it. You can request male/female, age range of person you want, education requirements etc... Good luck! And I hope you enjoy your very special evening out.

I'm a nurse and very picky about who watches my children, as all mothers are..LOL, anyhow, I used Kids nite out and loved them. I requested a male sitter, and he was very punctual, and left quickly when we returned. He watched a 2 and 4 yr old, and the second time he watched 4 children. His name is Cy, and he's a Disney employee...I plan on requesting him again in October...
If all else fails, I will come and sit for you...LOL...just bring me back a doggie bag from the restaurant...LOL...:rotfl: :lmao:

thanks everyone ill check out the kids night out website! thanks a million for the info -- one more question -- how early do u have to "book" the babysitter?? thanks!

Tour Guid Mike's has a WHOLE listing on the various available babysitting services in that area:
Kid's Nite Out: A division of Kinder-Care, the official childcare service recommended by Walt Disney World (we also use them at MICHAEL'S VIPS). Caregivers come to your room, and are able to care for children under 4. Call 407-827-5444 or 800-696-8105 (U.S. only) 7 days a week 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for rates and details.
Kinder-Care Daycare: This is the daycare facility on property for cast members . The service is not for guests; it's a benefit for the cast members. But if there are openings, they're happy to assist. Call them on the same day at 407-827-5437.
Fairy Godmothers: These are 'moms' and 'grandmoms' that know how to take care of children because they've raised their own. They can be reached 24 hrs at (407) 969-9847 and toll free 877-611-4314
All About Kids: In addition to their sitters, they provide baby care rental equipment and they deliver everything to your room. You can find them on the web at All-About-Kids.com (web site is NOT secure) or at 407-812-9300.
