Best Baby Carrier

I second some sort of SSC (soft structured carrier). I had a BabyHawk MT that I used with my little guy until he was about a year old and then got a APLX that I LOVED! Then I fell in love with an O&A SSC. We bought an 18" one so I am still wearing DS now at almost 3YO (when he'll let me!!) :thumbsup2

However, I have worn him both on my front and my back in the APLX and was still extremely comfy!! And he never minded facing in, cause he could just rest his head on my chest and still see everything from the side.

Ok, I'm leaning towards the Ergo after reading all the responses. I am a bit worried that she's not going to be happy staring at me all day though. Hope she doesn't mind!

From a pretty early age my DS absolutely refused to face in, even if I was just carrying him in my arms. It was like a switch - turn him in, kicking and screaming. Turn him out, happy peaceful baby. He just couldn't stand it when he couldn't see where we were going.

Hopefully your baby won't mind, but if she's used to facing out, it might be worth a few test runs before you depend on it in the parks.

I have a Beco and LOVE it! Used it on my trip when he was 10 weeks old and will be using it when he's 11 mths. on our Christmas trip. :)

When being held in my arms he bucks until you face him out so he can see what's going on. But while in the Beco he just snuggles right up to me and gets super comfy. He turns his head from side to side to see what's going on if he wants to...but he's very content the whole time.

I found someone in my area who has a home based business of selling carriers. She will help me try them out to see which one is the best for my girl and me.
