Best Appetizers

FWIW, the whole prescribed way to eat is why the dining plan would never work for me. I don't have a huge appetite and can't imagine eating as much as provided on the dining plan (the one time I did it, it covered apps and I HATED the waste). I wish they had a more free form deal, but I understand why they don't. I think its why so many people don't get the DDP.

A few months ago, at Olivia's at OKW, I had a loaded potato soup that was outstanding. Potato soup with cheese, chives, bacon, and sour cream on top. Also had a salad.

Yum

We found the dim sum appetizer at Y&Y to be skimpy for a group. If there are only two people in your group, it may be enough, but for any more people, I wouldn't recommend it.

OTOH, we loved the Dragon Roll sushi at Y&Y. I was with people who never get sushi, and they were mad for it.

The men in my family are crazy over the wings you get at Ohana. I have read that they are the same at Kona Cafe, and I'm pretty sure that you can order them by themselves in the Tambu Lounge.

FYI - for lunch and dinner you can order off the full Kona Cafe menu at Tambu Lounge.

I always find soups at Disney to be really good especially cream soups.

My favorites are the bread services at Sanaa and Jiko as well as the boar at Jiko (it is a smaller portion but delicious).

DH and I, "love" the onion rings at sci fi...at home we say no onion rings rate as sci do...others look at us like we are crazy...lolo_O

We are usually on the regular dining plan so we do not get many appetizers but one of my favorites is the beef carpaccio at Hollywood Brown Derby. I have tried to find a version around my area that I like but I havent found anything close yet.

Nachos at Crocketts Tavern in Fort Wilderness is always a must for my DW and me

Agree with bread at Sanaa. We actually make it at home ourselves sometimes. I can't wait to try Nomad here in another week.
