Hi, I have to say by far the best time of year for us is the last week in September or first week in October. There were just no crowds, and you could literally walk on to rides as many times as you wanted. They also start the MNSSHP(Halloween Party) the first week in October. The weather is great then as well. The All Star Resort we stayed at wasn't packed either and you could walk out and catch a bus to the parks.

I have to agree the end of September is a great time but make sure it is the end. We tried the beginning of September in 2001 and it was so hot and we got caught in Hurricane rains. We also ended up being there over Sept 11, 2001. I think End of Sept, oct,Nov (avoiding American Thanksgiving) and early December are all good times to visit.

Worst time for me Christmas (because of the crowds) and June, July and August for the weather and the crowds. WE went at the end of June in 2002 and it was so hot and again lots of rain. They were actually shutting rides down there was so much rain. We use to live in South Carolina and Georgia so I thoght I would be ready for the heat but it was so overpowering we were totally pooped out be 1:00-2:00.

We are also trying March this year I am a little worried about crowds as I don't like them. I hope all the tricks I have learned on past trips and from these boards will serve me well and we will be able to stay ahead of the crowds.

My vote is for Oct or Nov...great weather and the crowds are okay!

I'm with grover! I think Nov. is better, over Canadian Thanksgiving there was alot of people ( some of the Southern schools are also on break). Weather was great in early Nov. and no crowds.

I like May ... For me it's a great start to the summer, especially since May has been cooler than normal, at least for the past two years. The crowds are relatively low although not necessarily as low as they might be in December (ie. if some rides are a walk-on in December, they might be a 10 minute wait in May ... no big deal to me). Plus you're guaranteed hot weather. I found December a little cool for swimming and shorts on some days. Of course December has MVCMP which was a blast :p and all the Christmas decorations ... but I think I still like May better.

This year, I won't be able to go in May so I'll (hopefully) be going in October for my birthday. I'm hoping the weather will still be hot :)

I second the vote for May-we usually go over our May 24 weekend which is one week before the US holiday and the week before the US schools let out. Weather is high 80's low 90's, no crowds!! I think I'm in for a big surprise going over easter week!!

It's still on the chilly side here but very pleasant there. The crowds are manageable.

As for cruisin' so far we like going in January because it is cheaper and have had pretty good weather.

I vote for a seven day cruise during this time! The past two years it has been very chilly and sometimes downright cold in Florida. By doing the 7 day Eastern you are definately going to hit the 80 degree mark in St. Marten and St. Thomas!

For shorter cruises, travel in the warmer months. Also if you are prone to sea sickness watch out for hurricane season but still you may not be affected. Definately take the Bonine with you no matter what time of year you cruise. I even took half one night due to the fact they were calling for gale force winds but luckily they did not materialize!

I cannot comment on the Western as we are booked for next year!

I think the best time we have ever been was December of 2001. We went the first two weeks, and there was absolutely no one there (ok not litterly!). We walked on to EVERYTHING! We were lucky it was hot too. We overheard people saying it was so cold the year before. We also went Sept/Oct of 2002 and it was hot, the first week was quiet but the next week was absolutely CRAZY!!!! It was still a little too humid. A few weeks to avoid because of those lovely LOVEBUGS is the first two weeks of September, and not to mention extremely humid. December was my favourite!

The first 2 weeks of Dec are the best we love all the decorations and there are very few people in the parks. Twinz is right about 2001 the weather was fenominal highs of mid to high 80's and the lows were only down around 65 we were also there at that time. We try to go every Dec but I can't get the time off work for it this year so we are heading down the last 2 weeks of Sept into Oct. I will let everyone know what we thought of Sept. We will be doing the cruise in May of 06 so I get to celebrate my b day Disney style can't wait for that one. I do have to say though I can honestly not think of a bad time to be at Disney I mean just think about it you are at Disney no matter wether it is hot or cold you are still at Disney just a thought anyhow.

We have found March Break a nice time to go. Nothing is sweeter than to drive out of the cold and into that warm sunshine as we head on down the I-75. The weather in Florida has been perfect the last two times we've gone, so hoping for good weather again this trip. It's busy during this time at Disney but I've found it quite manageable.

We went down for NY's 2002 and although we had a great time, the parks were very busy and temps cooler. We also hit a snow storm in Tennessee on the way home and that wasn't nice at all!
