Best and worst queues

Just wondered which queueing areas you guys enjoyed most and least? I am really thinking about theming and how comfortable the queue is (space, air con or lack of) rather than how long you have to stand in line!

Waiting in line is definitely no fun but if we have to the one we like the best is Dinosaur at AK and Space Mountin at the MK. Both of these lines go by fast cause there is a lot to look at. Test Track is fun too and Rock 'n' Rollercoaster. The ones we don't like are Dumbo Elephants - always too long and slow plus in the hot sun Buzz Lightyear is also an interesting line but is always long there is some shade inside but it's really loud.

I think one of the most boring, hot, and plain is the Jungle Cruise, one of my favorite's is Star Tours. I will probably have more of an opinion when we get back in a couple of weeks....

I dispise the Dumbo line and don't seem to mind space Mountain too much once you are inside!

My favorite queue is TOT. You could stand there for quite some time, finding new things in the lobby and the little details here and there.

My least favorite has to be RnRC. You wait most of the time outside and there is very little to do at once you are inside. Plus, if you get stuck there for a while, the people rolling the marble doors really gets on my nerves. I think it is just the sound that grates me.

The worst line I ever stood in was the Grinch's Lair at IoA last year. They had all these things for the kids to play with but they were very loud and annoying. We spent an hour in that line and left with the most killer of headaches.

Take the time to check out some of the special details in the Splash Mountain queue next time you're there. There are a lot of little details that may be overlooked the first time through.

Best I would say Tower of Terror

one of the worst...Peter Pan or Dumbo!

Does Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh seem to take forever????? I think it is one of the slowest queue lines.

Fastpass from now on for me....:drinking:

I think my favorite would be Splash Mountain, or Test Track

I can't stand the Space Mountain line. When the line gets to the thin hallway with the windows that have the stars in them that seem to move you as you walk, they have a tendency to make me sick to my stomach. As a result, thats the one ride we always use fast pass on.

My favorite is Splash Mountain a lot of details. Space Mountain and TOT are neat. I don't really care for test track or any of the fantasyland queues.

Well one of the best looking lines is Mission Space with all that cool space stuff. Also another good one is Splash Mountain.

One of the worst is Test Track ... though it has a lot of things .. it just seems to take too long.

At Disney Land I love the line for Indian Jones, and I hate all of the lines in fantasy land where you walk aroun back and forth and back and forth for 2 hours for a ride that takes about 2 minutes. :)

I dread the Astro Orbiter line. Wait up next to hot sweaty people and then get closer in small elevator. But my DS loves the ride, so please leave me some room.

My favorite queue area would also have to be Splash Mountain. I have always loved the Brer Rabbit stories.

Best: Splash Mountain and Tower of Terror

Worst: Speedway and Dumbo

Kali River Rapids has a great queue! So does Star Tours. The best preshow movie awards go to Muppet Vision 3D, Cranium Command ("Where do you think you are, DISNEY WORLD?") and the late, great Alien Encounter ("if you can't do it with XS, it's not worth doing at all").

The WDW queue I hate the most is the one to get into the Comedy Warehouse. The in-park attraction "worst queue" award goes to the Big Thunder Mountain Jail (this is the room on the far right side of the queuing building that is opened whenever the lines get REALLY long). Test Track's queue music gives me a headache (so does the music for the Hulk queue over at IOA).

I like PotC. It gets you in the feel for going to Port Royale. RnRC is also very good.

I don't remember any particularly hellish queues at WDW but maybe that's because of the time of year I usually go. I will never, however, forget the line at an attraction at Universal Studios about Murder She Wrote and special effects. After being at this attraction, I could never watch that show again. Basically, we got carted from waiting area to waiting area for well over an hour. There was nothing to do or see while waiting and they played the theme song to the show over and over and over again. By the time I got to the attraction, I didn't pay much attention because I was so frustrated.

I have to agree with TDC Nala -- Big Thunder Mtn. Railroad is the worst when you have to go thru the second room. Just when you think you're finally getting to the end of the line, you are corralled into another room! :) We waited in line for 68 minutes -- but the ride was so much fun we didn't even care afterwards!

The absolute worst Disney queue I've ever been in was at Disneyland for the Rocket Rods--forever known to my family as the "Line Ride." The queue stretched for miles with very complicated circles in each room. You'd wait forever in one room, then when you'd think you were getting close--they'd gesture you through the door and you were...in another room with another huge line! You couldn't get out. It was claustrophic and hideously boring. Plus the fact that the Rocket Rods broke down about every 30 seconds so it was pretty obvious you'd NEVER get off the Line Ride!

After that ride, everything else seems like cake! It's all in your perspective.
