We always do a character meal at WDW to meet Mickey Mouse, to save time on the long line in the parks. I am not finding a character meal at DLR that has Mickey, unless I am missing something? :confused3

so, that being said, where is the best place and shortest line, to meet Mickey?

thanks!

Best place to visit Mickey is in his house in Toon Town. You can get your picture taken with him too.

I agree with Techno. Mickey is always in his house except for short breaks. The wait is indoors and he will always return there. It is 10 minutes or less by train to Toontown also if you do not want to walk.

my mom and i just got back from a 9 day visit to Disneyland.
we saw mickey everyday on mainstreet, along with minnie, pluto, chip and dale.. cruella..and pinochio...ooohh yes and goofy.

This was frequent throughout the day.

I believe you can go by city hall and ask where you can find your fav characters..and they will let you know where they are throughout the day.

During TTMM or at his house Ive never not met him at his house actually so I'm not sure where else you would meet him :confused3

This is the best information if you want to see a specific character. They can tell you exactly where and when each character is scheduled for that day (but only that day).

The reason I recommended Mickey's House is because you get a little private time with him indoors. Nobody running up to Mickey while you are in line, no mass of people huddled waiting to pounce at the chance to see Mickey, and they have handlers who let in a few families at a time to meet Mickey.

IF you make it to toon town as soon as it opens (usually an hour after the park), sometimes you can meet Mickey at his front door. That way you don't have as long of a wait and you get a pic most people don't have. If I knew how to insert a picture I would show you.:rotfl:

We met Mickey at his house in the middle of the afternoon on a Wednesday. You just sort of take the tour through his house, and you end up in a line that shuffles through his "studio barn", where you lean on railings and watch old Mickey cartoons. It only took us about 15 minutes for our turn to meet him, with a few other families. It was really fun. That's the pic in my siggy, below. :goodvibes He blew me a kiss!

Not to mention that because the line is inside at Toontown, it's sheltered from the elements and air-conditioned (always a plus when it's hot outside).

You can also meet him as Sorcerer Mickey after the "Drawn to the Magic" show at DCA if you are also going there. And he is often near Sunshine Plaza in his Hawaiian shirt/beach outfit. We like to try to get photos of him in his different outfits. :)
