Best airport to use for Disneyland?

I can't find it on this forum--thought I saw something recently. I remember there are a couple of airports besides LAX in the area and at least one is closer to Disneyland. Can someone give me advice? I'm looking for the closest and most convenient airport to Disneyland. Thanks.

I'm certainly not an expert, but my research indicates The Orange County/John Wayne Airport is the closest & most convenient(14 miles).

We just came back from DLR, flew into Orange County(John Wayne). The ride to our hotel was 15-20 minutes and the airport is very manageable. I'd do it again in a flash!

Orange County is smaller and closer. LAX may have slightly cheaper fares but the distance and traffic are worse.

I would have to agree with the Orange County airport... It is so close and traffic isn't so bad as trying to get there from LAX.. If you keep your eyes out you can find cheaper airfare..

My prioritized list:

1. Orange County (SNA) - the closest
2. Long Beach (LGB) - the smallest, JetBlue
3. Ontario (ONT) - newest, huge Southwest hub
4. Burbank (BUR) - very small, don't even have to cross a street to get a car
5. Los Angeles (LAX) - the behemoth hassle, miles from car rentals

I might be inclined to put any of these over LAX if it's reasonable to add them as a sidetrip at the beginning or end of your trip:

6. San Diego (SAN)
7. Palm Springs (PSP)
8. Las Vegas (LAS)

Another vote for Orange County here! We've been flying in to LAX in the past, but this time went to Orange County (SNA) and the difference was night and day.

<font face="Comic Sans MS"><font color=#006400>Just keep in mind that the Orange County airport has limited daytime hours to keep down noise pollution for the residents.

Orange County gets my vote, even with a plane change for us in Pittsburgh as opposed to a direct into LAX.
