Best age to visit?

Hi all.
Not sure if I've left it to late for my 8 year old DD to visit DLRP also I have a DS almost 2. Would there be things for them both to do at these ages?

I'm sure both will have a good time, even if age 2 is maybe a little bit young to appreciate the fact of being at DLP, but I've seen many younger children enjoying this place.
Disneylands parks are made for people from 0 to 99 years old (and maybe older...) to have fun, so don't worry and go ahead !

Hi Mishele

My son was 22 months when we took him in October last year and he absolutely loved it. He had fun meeting all the characters and posing for photos with them as you can see from the photo below. There are plenty of rides that he enjoyed - he loved Buzz Lightyear his favourite is Small World and he still sings the song every day and asks to watch the video of it that we took! We're planning to go back in Nov this year and I can't wait to see his face when he remembers it all!

DD's first trip was when she was just 1 year. This will be her 5th trip and she is 9. DS6 and DD4 have been a number of times and they all enjoy everything DLP

This year it will be the fourth time that she will meet Mickey.

We're going in 5 1/2 wks and it will be our first visit.
My daughter is 8 and is really, really excited She's already asking me if we'll get to go again after this trip!
We are going with a friend and her son is going to be 8 in April and is also v excited.

Its def not to late for your daughter, I'm sure you'll all have an amazing time!

Hi

We went in December when my youngest was 2 (almost 3)

She loved it and went on everything except BTM & SM

We even took her in the ghost's house and much to my amazement so loved it! She also loved Pinocchio which my elder daughter who is 4 found scary.

You really can't tell what they'll be like as they're all different but I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Hello there can't believe I found this website by mistake!! It's brill isn't it? Well anyway we have only been to DLP twice and that has been in the last 10 months. We went last wk with our son who isn't 2 til April and he loved it and there was plenty of rides for him and our 6 year old. You are gonna have a fab time and so is your kids xxxxxx

Thank you so much you are all so nice on these boards makes a change to some of the ones i've been on!! People end up slagging each other off and (so far) I haven't seen anything like that. The beauty of Disney is that it really is for any and all ages.

A note of caution though, I was 5 when I first went to Disneyland (California)and I can remeber 4 things . . .

1) The rain (there was a lot!)
2) Riding Dumbos Flight with my gran
3) Buy Mickey Mouse playing cards from a cart stall
4) Tripping up Mickey and Minnie - it was an accident!

All Disney parks are great for kids, my mum says that one of the best memories she has is me meeting Mickey and Minnie and whenever you see families in the parks it really is true. Her greatest regret is that I can't really remeber it. This may sound in part negative and I apoligise in advance but try taking your children at an age they can truely appreciate and remember it. Shucks, that might mean a visit or three so you can so thier faces at 4, 6 and 8 but it's hardly a hardship for us adults and will make it special for the kids as they remember it all.
