We are looking to go to Disney in November (yes, Jersey week, I am a teacher and we just got our calendar and we have the whole week of for the first time in a while! Sure beats having to go during Easter, Xmas, or the summer!!) We are super excited for this unexpected trip. We usually rent a house and stay with lots of family, but it will be the 4 of us this time. Looking for a 2 bedroom condo fairly close. We really like to be able to send the kids to bed and watch tv, and to be able to cook at least breakfast, and usually dinner. I'd like to keep it near $100 a night and have 2 quotes for Bonnett Creek in that range. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance!

We have only stayed at Bonnet Creek and we love it. I have spent a lot of time looking at other places, but I think we'd only do it if we couldn't get a good rate at Bonnet Creek and/or we were really going to be spending a lot of time in the parks and not using the condo much at all. Right now we've gotten good rates and we really use the amenities at WBC. We love to swim, so it's a great place for us. If you're not going to be using the pools then there are probably some other properties you could find that are cheaper and would be fine.

We really really like holiday inn club vacations Orange Lake resort. Kids never get bored. 7 pools, lazy river, hot tubs, slide . If u want a name for rentals PM me

I've had good experiences at Silver Lake resort, Bonnet Creek, Wyndham Cypress Palms & Star Island. Silver Lake is on property near AK. Cypress & Star Island are about 15 min drive off 192 in Kissimmee.

If I remember correctly, there is a site to go for a resort one week voucher (resort certs) & you can find all but Bonnet Creek on there for pretty good prices, based on availability.

We've rented in Lindfields, Windsor Palms, and Crestwynd Bay, never over $100/night. Last week we were in a 3-bedroom townhome in Crestwynd Bay for $85/night. We've also used Skyauction.com numerous times to stay at Orbit One Vacation Villas. We were there in November in a 2-bedroom unit for under $50/night. It's tough to beat that.

How was staying at Orbit One?

I believe the resort voucher you're talking about is on skyauction. Bonnet Creek is actually on there quite often.

We've stayed there 4 times, I believe. The first 3 were several years ago. The 4th was this past November. We were very happy with every stay. It isn't the newest or fanciest property out there but the location is excellent, the people are nice, the units are spacious, and with the Skyauction certificates, the price is phenomenal.

In case you don't know where it is, if you are familiar with Sherberth Road, when that intersects 192, the name changes to Entry Point Blvd. Orbit One is right behind the gas station on the corner. So you come out of the resort, turn left, cross the street and you're on Sherberth heading onto Disney property. I think Silver Lake is the only place closer to property than that. We once timed our drive from Animal Kingdom to our unit. It took us 4-1/2 minutes. Good luck getting to your onsite hotel in that time.

Thanks for the info! You're not kidding about the location...looks perfect. I checked the property out on tripadvisor & found that it gets good reviews, looks well maintained, & was happy to see that the pool has slides! Just curious - did you purchase the resort certificates through Skyauction, or did you go the actual auction route. Thanks in advance, thinking of trying this place out.

Check out vacationcentralflorida.com. They have 2 bedroom condos at Windsor Hills for $349 base price for the weeks in November. I specifically saw top floor #402, but I'm sure some of their other 2 bedrooms are the same price. The total for a week with taxes and fees is $494.94!! They get good reviews on this board. We are staying in one of their 3 bedroom condos in September, and the response has been great so far! And, Windsor Hills is awesome! We stayed there last year-they are only 2 miles from Disney and have a beautiful, huge pool area with slide, playgrounds, snack bar, movie theater, exercise room, etc. Beautiful resort!!

We own at Cypress Pointe Resort which is about 5 minutes from DTD. It's a small resort but has great amenities -- a 2 bedroom should be in your price range, especially if you rent from an owner.

We've stayed at Windsor Hills twice and loved it both times. Very quiet resort with a nice pool and playground. It's also easy to find a deal there on VRBO.

We own at Oakwater Resort. Very close to parks, zero entry pool, playground, exercise room, game room, tennis court. I think many of the owners rent for under $100/night (depending on season)
Most of the units are 3BR though. If you search out vacation homes, I strongly suggest searching for 3BR. There are many more 3BR than 2BR and hence more competition and sometimes lower prices. If you google Oakwater Resort , there are a number of different management companies (and some management companies have lower rates than others.)

We have stayed at Windsor HIlls 4 times in the last 3 years and enjoyed every visit. Pool is heated to 85 365 days of the year.

Thanks everyone! I have a quote from vacation strategy for just over 700 for the week. I could find something cheaper, not as nice, I am sure, but I really like that you can cancel up to 20 days before and then after that you get to keep a credit.

I am booked for a 2bdrm at Windsor hills, for $67 a night in May. It's not the fanciest condo I came across on VRBO, but it's cheap, and has great reviews on cleanliness & quality. And it has new mattresses so it will be nice to have a comfy bed :) I think I searched for something under $70 a night and that's how I found it. (Remembering we'd be paying $20 to park at the parks also, my goal was $90 a night or less with that figured in.)

I think you're going to love WBC. It's a stone's throw from the parks and has an amazing resort vibe.
