Can you please give suggestions for that age (Second week of Jan visit)? I would rather crowdsource this cause people with experience will give the best suggestions. I understand different people may have different choices, but I can parse through multiple responses to try to derive what I need.
BTW, that is how old the kids will be in Jan.
Thanks in Advance.

After deciding which rides you wish to do, I suggest looking at the first couple of posts in the green link in my signature.

We took ours on Dumbo, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Tomorrowland Speedway. He loved them all.
I think any rides of that type are safe in regards to speed, twist, turns, etc.

How tall is your 5 year old? How many adults? Will you be rider swapping? Boys or girls?

When we went when one child was a baby the older would always want to ride the bigger rides.

So we did a&e for 2 people, 7dmt for 1 person (then used rider swap for other adult & child), enchanted tales with belle for all of us, then 2 people for splash, one for big thunder and used rider swap on each.

Our babies were always pretty entertained just watching people. We do rope drop, so we rode the fantasyland rides early. If you don't want the "thrill" rides I'd swap splash/big thunder for Peter Pan if you can't be there at rope drop

Depends on how many days. If just one, I'd do Peter Pan, 7DMT (kid will get to ride it twice if you utilize rider swap), and ?. Just definitely those two. Pick whichever third you'd think your family would enjoy most. That is also near the top of Mesaboy2's list. Remember 4th FPs are pretty easy to get in MK.

Oh and the 8 month old is just along for the ride. I can't name a particular ride my 9 month old (at the time) enjoyed most last year. He did love the play area in Dumbo. He could have stayed there all day.

7DMT should be good for 5yo, and is ridiculously popular. Peter Pan line gets crazy. Both of those you either need to visit as soon as the park opens or get FP. Thunder & Splash Mountain a bit more intense, but possible for 5yo.

Other popular rides where FP would be helpful would be Pooh, Barnstormer, Dumbo, Buzz, Jungle Cruise. Haunted Mansion & Pirates depends on how the 5yo does with the dark rides.

First choices are in above post. Also Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion are good and can have long stand-by lines. Our first trip with kids involved a 5yr old and 11mth old and we went on everything with no problems. Baby came with or we did rider swap.
