Best 2 year old Birthday Dinner

Hi There! We're going to DW to celebrate my little ones 2nd birthday. We will be at MK in the morning and are having breakfast at BOG. That night I also want to see the fireworks - looking for a great place to have dinner so we don't have to leave MK or at least dine somewhere we can take monorail and come back or still see the fireworks. We have the dining plan if that helps!

We celebrated our DS 2 birthday at both Chef Mickey's for breakfast and then Crystal Palace for dinner. Both places we thought were good for a 2 year old. He was entertained and got a birthday card from both restaurants. The servers also sang to him and gave him a cupcake which made his day! Both of these places would be great for you if you want to stay in the magic kingdom area. We are planning to do the same this year for his 3rd birthday.

Thank you! Well, I had Chef Mickey's but then i read so many bad reviews for dinner I was worried we'd be really disappointed with the food. I don't want to eat gross food!

If your plan was to be at MK I'd do Crystal Palace.

If you stick with Chef Mickey's (I am the veteran of many meals there) try to change the ADR for when they 1st open for dinner. The food will be hot, plenty of it and no one will have had the change to mess up the place. And character interaction seems to be better earlier in the evening.

If your plan was to be at MK I'd do Crystal Palace.

I agree. I wouldn't head all the way over to CR if your plan is to be in MK in the evening. The characters in CP are really cute. I would just make sure your 2 year old is ok with the characters first. My 2 year old was completely freaked out over face characters when he was younger and we had to avoid the character meals that featured those.

We had my great niece’s second birthday dinner party at Be Our Guest, and it was awesome, but what a pain it was to get an ADR.

We were 12 people, and I searched for months to get one. Thanks to Hurricane Irma, I found a cancellation one week before.

If you can do Crystal Palace, it is wonderful... both character atmosphere and the food, too!

Agree if you want to stay in MK, then Crystal Palace. He'll have fun.
I would not spend the time it will take you to go there and back to Chef Mickey.

Chef Mickey's would be the perfect atmosphere (great characters, fun music, etc) for a 2 yo birthday, but the dinner food is GROSS and expensive. We've never done Crystal Palace for dinner, but its always been great for breakfast. When my boys were 2, their favorite restaurant was Pinnochio Village Haus (quick service) where they could watch and wave to and hold up signs for the It's A Small World boats from the upstairs tables with windows.
