We are looking to rent a 1-Bedroom Villa in October. Our 1st choice was Bay Lake Towers Theme Park View; but those appear to be mostly rented already because there is only one time frame that one is available & that doesn't work the greatest for us.

Our son will be 2 at the time of our stay & we're looking for someplace that's convenient with a stroller.

Looking for opinions on the "next" best location & nicest one bedrooms to stay at.

Thanks for your help!

I'm not all that familiar with renting, but as owners, I do know that there are cancellations all the time. That said, the most convenient DVC to MK after BLT would be the new GFV, although I would think they would be even harder to get and more points. You might consider WLV, which has boat access to MK, although I know they are going to be remodeled this year and I'm not sure when that will be finished. They are also building DVC at the Poly, but I don't think they'll be done by then. Otherwise, we loved OKW when we stayed there in Oct 2012. AKV would be farther out from MK, but the bus service is supposed to be good. Seeing the animals would be fun for your little one. Every resort has something to offer, just depends what you consider "nice."

Nothing wrong with the Lake View Villas at BLT. They require less points than a Theme Park View and you may still get a view of the MK.

I agree that a 1 bedroom lake view at BLT would be a good choice. I loved our room there. It had a lot more space than a 1 bedroom at Beach Club Villas. However, we did LOVE our stay at BCV and would go back there in a heartbeat.

We have traveled when our DD was 2.5, 3, 4, and 5. Our son was 12 months and 18 months our last two trips. I would HIGHLY recommend staying at BLT or BCV with a little one simply because you can walk easily to the parks without having to fold up your stroller. At BLT you can walk to MK or take the monorail to the TTC and switch to the Epcot monorail without folding up the stroller. At BCV we walked to Hollywood Studios (it is a little over a mile IIRC) and of course, Epcot is at your back door.

We had a less desirable view at BLT last time, but it still was wonderful to be literally right there at MK. We also like to take the boat over to Fort Wilderness and play at the playground there.

Enjoy your trip!

I don't know if there is a "best". We don't really care for BLT but many do. We love BWV and some don't. It is all personal preference.

Best is in the eyes of the beholder. To me, OKW has the best one bedroom villa. But not if you have a stroller and need to carry it up the stairs and don't want to take a bus to the MK.

Thanks to everyone for all of your imput!

I'm still going to keep my fingers crossed for a 1-Bedroom Theme Park View at Bay Lake but now I've got a few other options to check out.
