What other things, particularly pins, do you collect? (I'm sure this thread has been started before, but I don't know if I've seen it on the 'new' boards.)

I have other pins in my collection: St. Louis Cardinals, other St. Louis pins (such as Anheuser-Busch, events, etc.), DCI (drum corps), and other misc. events.

Dar :bounce:

so I also collect miniature bears, disney antenna balls and jack balls, and some barbies

I collect:
1. Pokemon :D
2. Ty Beanies
3. Anything too do with Cats
4. And Disney things. (almost anything.)

Berlioz

I collect all kinds of stuff:

1. Coke bottles and tin signs

2. Hot wheels and Johnny lightning die cast cars

3. New York World's Fair collectibles from 1939 and 1964-65

4. G.I Joe items

5. And the toys my Mom threw away when I was a kid.

I collect Disney plushies of obscure characters, Boyds bears and friends, and...dust. LOL, kidding. But those plushes seem to be magnets for dust. I blow them all off with a hair dryer on a low setting every once in a while.

Baseball cards - all teams but particularly Red Sox and most importantly Carl Yazstremski.

Also Disney Snowglobes, cels, figurines and Tshirts.

Well I would now say I collect anything. I just gather things.
I have so many different collectables I have gone from baseball cards, then started with the football, then hockey then basketball. I must have over 10,000 cards.
My favorite are my Hummels. My daughter bought me my first one.
Now we are up to over 80. I just really love them
Then
Disney cells
Disney Litho's
Disney collectables
Disney watches
Norman Rockwell
Dept 56
Lladro
Some precious moments
Byers
And that is all I can remember right now.

OH I FORGOT DISNEY PINS

Things we collect:

1) Books - Last time I looked, we had more Sci-fi/fantasy in our collection than the local Waldenbooks does.

2) Wizards/Castles - Goes along with the whole Fantasy thing.

3) Robert Heinlein - I'm trying to collect all of his novels in their original, serialized form from Astounding Science Fiction magazines from the 1950's. My best piece: A 1945 magazine with ALL of the leading SF writers of the time predicting what life would be like in the year 2000. Asimov, Bradberry, Heinlein, etc....makes for some REALLY interesting reading.

4) WVU memorabilia - Big surprise there, huh :)

5) Dust...

I collect:

Disney pins
Disney videos
Disney snowglobes
Disney watches
Hard Rock Cafe pins
Lapel pins
Fiestaware
TY and Disney beanies (but I've downsized)
Bossons
David Winter Cottages
Planet Hollywood Comet glasses
and my worst addiction of all--Longaberger Baskets

No wonder I don't have funds for trips to WDW!

the biggest thing I seem to collect is credit card receipts....

My collections are very cyclical--depends on my mood... for a while there is was Barbie Dolls, then Disney Dolls, TY and Disney Beanies, Olympic Pins, Scrapbooking supplies, Longaberger baskets, and miscellaneous Cinderella collectibles (higher end...).
DH has a collection of Star Wars toys (original and reissue); sports cards, die cast toy trucks, nostalgic, tins/canisters, Hess trucks, and Coca Cola merchandise.
We both have a HUGE collection of various Christmas ornaments (Hallmark, Disney, Star Wars etc.)
I have started selling off lots of the Barbie dolls and beanies and sticking mostly with the Disney related things. I talked DH into getting rid of the Hess trucks and some of the non-Penn State die cast trucks. He has also thinned out the sports cards considerably. I will be able to find my way through our basement one of these days!!!!

Hmmmmmmm lets see.........besides the dust bunnies......

ALmost anything POOH.....but prefer classic Pooh stuff.

and Carousel Horses.......Dept 56 Snowbabies.....and......don't laugh......sugar bowls! It all started when I mentioned to my Aunt Mary that I had broken my sugar bowl......she dug in her cabinet and came up with 2. Then DH comes home with a Disney one....(guess which one we use! LOL) ......and it grew from there.....even bought one in the UK Pavilion at Epcot.....

you guys are too funny.....I just love this board...feel like I am in good company....

I collect just a little bit of what everyone else does....

Started with Olympic pins from LA...
then Barbies...have lots of those.....
Then Star Wars....have a whole lot of those.......
Then Hot Wheels...have a real whole lot of those...
Then it was beanie babies...then my DH took over those and I decided I liked the Buddies so I have all of those...
ummmm
All of the Star wars ornaments from Hallmark...and the pez despensers...posters..etc...
Disney Pins and Videos and now the DVD's.

Lets see.... what else do we collect..

Matthew collects:
Comic Books - thousands and thousands and thousands of them
Hallmark Legends in Flight model planes
Swords
Hallmark Lunchboxes
e-mail (he NEVER deletes anything!)

I collect:
Hallmark Ornaments
Lighthouses
Sailing Ships (umm.. the model sized versions :) )
Carousel Horses
Hot Wheels
Baseball Cards (well, I used to)
I used to collect beanies and buddies but have pretty much gotten out of them

And we both collect:
Poodles :) :) :) :)

Gosh, I just realized that I'm a pack rat.

I seem to have developed collections over the years without making a concerted effort. I have Christmas ornaments (Hallmark, Disney, and anything else), first and early edition Winnie the Pooh books (value skyrocketed once Disney took an interest), first edition children's books, Barbies (way too many of these and quite useless - they just take up space in the storeroom - but I fell in love with the designer ones), Wedgewood china, paintings by promising artists, and charms for my bracelet. Oh, and I collect Disney pins too.

1st it started with autographs when I was 15(baseball and other celebrities) I have the 1974 All Star Game program signed by all but 5 people.

Then it was Hallmark and Enesco & then Carlton ornaments.

And now Disney pins....

I collect Hot wheels, Monopoly games, Starting lineup figures and snowglobes. I also like to collect money but I can not seem to find the ones I have collected.:p
