Hi all... having small troubles getting into the DIS so I will probably make this short as I have been trying too hard & too long to get in

Another vote for Downy wrinkle releaser!! That is great stuff. I use it pretty much every day! I just spray it on, shake out the clothes a little and hang to dry. It works best when you have a while or a hairdryer to help dry them. I take it with me always

Very good point Marsha! I am always on the look out for the dumb driver who isn't careful... and I swear we have TONS of these in Ohio

Merry, so sorry to hear about the storms We had some of those earlier (when we lost power for 3 days) Our house had roof damage but fortunately no damage to my car (but I was so scared watching the storm). I was lucky to have it in a kind of "protected" place. Good luck cleaning up the neighborhood. I hope things aren't as bad as they may look for some.

Okay I had better go. I am so far behind in work today and I hate leaving things left undone!

I've had trouble getting on today too....and compounding that is that I've been busy on this last day of work before vacation!

Glad to hear you had no real damage by the storm Melissa. DH spent 3 years in St. Louis at school and he still talks about how intense they can be in the midwest.

Marsha - I'll concur with E, that stuff really works and a bottle goes a long way. I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip because you'll be gone by the time we get home from ours. Please take lots of pictures of Angels too and have a drink for me on my birthday!!

I'm also echoing wishes for safe travels for everyone in the coming days and weeks.....lots of folks have fun trips coming up. To everyone holding down the fort at home, don't talk about us too much!

I may pop back on tonight but in case I don't we'll be returning from our adventures on August 9!!!

Hmmm, Is your birthday on 8/9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19 or 20? Don't tell me, I will just have to have a dring in your honor each day! DId you know that you can get Mimosas at almost every sit down breakfast? I think I will get some of that stuff today. Looking at the top I have on, it looks like it could use some. Guess I have to iron before shopping.

I'm feeling a little better (read, the drugs are starting to work ) and trying to decide whether to travel to Luton (down South of England) on Saturday to spend the day with two friends whose Bdays are today and tomorrow.... seems quite a trip but would be worth it... hmmm....

We have a CP sister park here (Valley Fair), and they have a Thunder Canyon too. I always hate the wet shoes after that ride, and they wont let you remove them before boarding!

I have the wet shoe solution. Climacools by Reebock. They are mesh over the toes, and heel, but not thin, and they have holes in the insole, so water drains through the bottom. THey are really neat. You can get them at Footlocker and Lady Footlocker. I got them especially for water rides. Of course your sox get wet, but if you bring an extra dry pair in a zip lock, you can chane and put the wet ones in. But I don't want to carry a lot of stuff, so I will just deal withthe wet socks. The shoes help tho, drying out the sox.

Night everyone!

When it came to wet rides we all took our 'aqua shoes' with us, changed into them before the ride (putting socks in our rucksaks or whatever) and then changed back into trainers and socks straight after. Well, I say we, everyone else did, I lived in sandals the whole time so it didn't matter to me

Hi all Very busy around here I have the dishwasher, kitty litter, bills, and bike riding taken care of. I do need to get laundry, packing and dinner in there somehwere. I'll hopefully get that all done tonight or I'll have to wake up early tomorrow

I just wear Tevas... totally solves all the water problems and icky sock lines I have been using those for amusement parks since like 1993 or so

Off to eat! I am starving!
